This one of a kind rustic log cabin sits on Beautiful Ashley Lake only 35 minutes west of Kalispell. It is a perfect setting for a family vacation or a romantic get away. Newly remodeled this cabin sleeps 5 people. The master bedroom has a double bed, bedroom 2 has a twin bed and the loft has two twin beds. There is a full kitchen, full bathroom, deck and private dock. There is a flat screen TV with satellite, internet and BBQ. There is a lot to do with hiking trails, fishing, swimming and boating. You can relax with reading, napping, floating in the water or sitting around a camp fire. Flathead valley is full of things to do with many golf courses, theaters, lots of shopping in Bigfork, Whitefish and Kalispell. Glacier Park is a must see! Glacier International Airport is only 45 minutes away.
This property has been in our family since 1948. After my Grandfather purchased it he and my father built the cozy cabin. Our family has enjoyed and loved our piece of heaven and hope you will too!
Denise Gullickson purchased this cabin in 2003
The turquoise blue water is one of a kind. Prettiest lake in the valley!
My husband and I had a wonderful time celebrating our 2 year anniversary at the cabin. We enjoyed kayaking on the lake at sunrise and watching the stars from the dock at night.
Recommendations: Get to the cabin before night fall because the road to the cabin is rural and dark.
We stayed at the cabin over the Labor Day weekend. The cabin looked even better than the pictures!
A beautiful deck overlooks the lake and we loved having a campfire down right next to the lake most nights.
The cabin is small and one of the bedrooms is really a walkway to the bathroom, but other than that it was a most
pleasant stay for my friend and I. The loft was too steep for us older gals to think about maneuvering for night
time bathroom calls so we opted for the downstairs.
We loved kayaking in the lake and spending time at Glacier National Park, Flathead Lake and Whitefish. Lots to
do in the area.
The owners were next door but very respectful of our privacy. We enjoyed having them there to answer our questions.
A great trip and I recommend the cabin on the lake!
This small cabin on a hillside lot leading down to a firepit and then a nice long dock offers plenty of beautiful lake views and peace and quiet. The interior is fully stocked with the basics and more, there is a good TV for nighttime movies or those shows you just can't miss. The beds are comfy with pillows and linens aplenty. The ladder to the loft was...a ladder; not a staircase, but was very doable for the younger set who loved the idea of sleeping in the rafters! The bathroom is excellent and well-stocked for every need. Our only complaint was that the advertised wifi was extremely slow and sometimes non-existent. Thus, with no cell service (as clearly stated in the web page), there was little connection with the outside world. (That may be exactly what you need or are looking for!!!). We caught fish, enjoyed the two kayaks, took long walks and bike rides, bird-watched, swam and snorkeled in the lake, and wanted to stay longer! This is a place to come back to!!!!!
The cabin was cozy and quaint. We loved the views. My daughter and husband loved using the Kyaks.
We recently had an all girls trip and stayed at the cabin. It was the perfect setting and I highly recommend it! The only suggestion I have is for the directions to be a little bit clearer. Directions should start off with take the SECOND Ashley Lake turn off.
Thanks for sharing your cabin with us!!
This is a very belated review, better late than never? This is a charming little cabin on the beautiful Ashley Lake. Our family of 4 - two adults, a 4 year old and 5 year old, plus our dog stayed here the end of August 2015. The reservation and arrangements could not have gone smoother. We found the cabin with no challenges, roads were very drivable and directions were great. If you are looking for a remote cabin, this is not the best option, as it is located on the same property as the owners home. However, there is a decent space between them and the cabin is located nearest the lake and with the deck looking over the lake, you feel as though you have plenty of privacy. There are other homes on adjacent lots as well. We rarely saw anyone in the other properties and unfortunately the cabin owners were out of town so we were unable to meet them.
The cabin is located close to the lake, but there is a very brief walk down to the water. It is easy and my young children had no issues with it, but if anyone had disabilities, this could be a challenge. The lakefront area was beautiful. A nice dock that we were able to jump off into very clear, clean water (you could watch the fish swim by), and a rocky beach allowing lots of skipping. My kiddos especially enjoyed crawfish (crawdad?) "hunting." There were kayaks that the owners allowed us to take out on the water which was awesome to explore the shoreline.
The cabin itself is very charming, the pictures don't do it justice. Especially the updated deck overlooking the lake. The beds/linens/couches were very comfortable and everyone slept great. Small, yet usable kitchen was everything we needed.
Overall we very much enjoyed our stay! The only reason we gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that we would have liked a bit more remoteness, but I think that finding that at this price range is near impossible in Montana anymore!
Kalispell is only 35 minutes away for shopping, theaters, art galleries and dinning. Whitefish and Bigfork are wonderful resort towns to explore and enjoy also, they are about 14 miles from Kalispell.
