About Denise Gullickson
This property has been in our family since 1948. After my Grandfather purchased it he and my father built the cozy cabin. Our family has enjoyed and loved our piece of heaven and we hope you will too! We have 3 acres and another cabin on site. We do not rent it out but occasionally are there during the summer months. We always give our renters their complete privacy. We are glad to help with any questions at any time. We want our guests to enjoy and relax!
Denise Gullickson purchased this Cabin in 2003

Perfect getaway set on a pristine lake. Very private yet close enough to everything.
Perfect!!!! We loved it!
Crystal Blue Water with Mountain Views
We had the most relaxing time staying at the cabin. Enjoyed kayaking on the lake, swimming, and grilling out nightly on the deck. It was so amazing. A wonderful vacation.
Thank you!! It was lovely to meet you both and we are so glad you had a relaxing vacation! Thanks for choosing our Very special cabin, come again any time!
Great rustic cabin on a magnificent lake! Would highly recommend it if you just want to get away from it all, but the WiFi is significantly improved if you want or need to stay in touch. The hosts are lovely people and made sure we had everything we needed. Can’t wait to go back next summer!
Log cabin on Ashley Lake
We had a wonderful time on Ashley Lake. So nice to have the private dock available for our boat and kayak. We enjoyed evening dinners on the nice front deck overlooking the lake, and made good use of the BBQ. The owner's home was right behind the cabin, but views from cabin's front deck did not have any nearby homes so we did not feel squeezed in. Log cabin was nice. Kitchen small but functional. Bedrooms were tight, however. Main bedroom had the bed pushed right to the wall and very little room at end of bed. Hard for the inside sleeper to get out of bed. Other bedroom had a twin bed, and was the walkway to the very nice bathroom (which was an add-on, hence the need for access to it through second bedroom).
Beautiful and peaceful! Very cozy
Our time at the cabin was so peaceful! The cabin is rustic but had everything we needed, and Denise and David were very welcoming and helpful with any issues or questions we had. They even brought over a smores care package and checked in on us over the weekend. We stayed in late June for a week and were able to get out on the lake and kayak (2 provided) during the day but still use the wood stove and wall units for heat at night. My 2 children (11 & 14) took turns sleeping in the loft and 2nd bedroom. The loft requires that you climb a ladder but the stairs have a grip surface to prevent slipping. The Wifi worked fine for us on our cell phones and we were able to text others but only iPhone to iPhone. This cabin is good for a couple looking for a quiet escape or a small family of 4-5. Ashley lake is beautiful and not overpopulated so you can really enjoy the peace and quiet. I would caution against driving in or out of the gravel roads in the dark and be sure to watch out for wildlife when going around some of the sharp turns. We took a couple day trips to Glacier Park and the drive is about and hour and a half, but it seems less because there really isn't "traffic" in the traditional sense and the drive is beautiful. My family loved it and we made lots of memories to cherish! Definitely would recommend...
Fantastic time on the lake
Thank you Denise and David for a great VRBO on an absolutely gorgeous lake. We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was excellent - clean, distinctive with its log construction, great loft for the kids - all just steps from the dock on the lake. It was very nice to have access to a couple of kayaks with which we explored. We had a wonderful, relaxing holiday.
Dates of our visit: August 19-26, 2017.
Would definitely return.
Kalispell is only 35 minutes away for shopping, theaters, art galleries and dinning. Whitefish and Bigfork are wonderful resort towns to explore and enjoy also, they are about 14 miles from Kalispell.
