Southeast Eugene House Rental Photos and Description

3 Bedroom One Bathroom Centrally Located On Quiet Street

A cozy and comfortable 1950's house equipped with just enough to meet your needs and hopefully a little bit more. It's been updated but is also still fairly 'old school' and simple. The home was a treasure for us to live in for a decade and as our family grew we moved to a larger home, leaving this one with lots of happy memories. Hardwood Floors, Fireplace and raised garden beds in the front and back yards. A nice sized driveway for parking as well as street parking. Easy access to all kinds of shopping, transportation and escapes further out of town.

About Emily Nance

I'm a happily married Massage Therapist with two beautiful boys. I'm well educated, well traveled and welcoming to guests. I'm a local from a small town in the Coastal Range and have lived all over Oregon. I graduated from UO in 1994 and graduated from Lane Community College's Massage School in 2004. I love the great outdoors, horseback riding, biking, hiking and having fun in water. I love reading and chatting with friends. I have two, a cat, a guinea pig, and a parekeet.

Emily Nance purchased this house in 2002

Why Emily Nance chose Eugene

We chose this home for its charmingly simple and solid build. While living in the house, we drove our car only when leaving town. At all other times it was biking or walking, and quite convenient at that! The house has great proximity to all the things our town provides, campus, sporting events, parks, bike trails, dog parks, restaurants, shopping, river walks, you name it. It is on a quiet street and has lots of yard to play with.

What makes this house unique

It is a home set up to be as predictable as a nice hotel room and as hospitable as a home. The kitchen is spacious, versatile and the hub for gathering. The front room is welcoming with cozy couches, a fireplace and TV (sorry no cable just dvd player). The home has a lovely view of willow trees out the front windows and the private yard out of the back windows. The garage and shop house all of our 'urban homestead' tools and also serves as our bike depot. You are free to use the washer and dryer if need be.

Great house with nice front and back yards; close to Amazon Park and running trails.

We were so fortunate to stay in this home for almost 3 weeks! Beautiful space with nice yards, close to Amazon Park. We used the bicycles in the garage several times for errands and sightseeing. I highly recommend this place to anyone. Emily was a gracious and responsive hostess-- thank you!!

graduation trip

  • 4 of 5

My family and I had a wonderful time during our stay at your property. The kitchen and living room were accommodating for all of us along with some friends that dropped by. The bedrooms were spacious and even though there was only one bathroom, it wasn't a problem. We really enjoyed your herb garden. The location was also close to everywhere we needed to go. During our stay, we tried the Tasty Thai place at the end of the street, which are good. Even one day, we took a walk and found a trail that was very interesting. We will definitely keep your information for the next time we are in Eugene. Emily was easily available for anything I needed. Thank you, Emily for making our trip memorable.

Great location, good house for a weekend, very nice host

  • 4 of 5

My brothers, father, and I spent the weekend in Eugene for the Prefontaine Classic and spent two nights here. The location was great - walking distance to grocery, drug store, and several restaurants. The kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfast and lunch, and the rest of the house had the essentials. Emily left us a nice note, sparkling cider, and access to a few nice bikes, which we used. She also made the check-in and check-out very easy. If you're looking for a fancy getaway, this probably isn't the right choice. Most things were a little old (including the beds), and the house was clean enough, but not entirely spotless. We also had some difficulty finding soap for the shower. That said, it was overall a comfortable place to be for the weekend, and I would definitely recommend it. For the price, location, three bedrooms, bikes, and nice host I think it is a great place to stay.

We stayed at this property for UO graduation.

  • 4 of 5

I was worried about the 6 of us staying at this property with only one bath. Every thing was great and I worried for nothing. We spent evenings on the patio grilling and just enjoying, much better than any motel. Emily was wonderful in everything. There wasn't a hiccup to be had. I would definitely stay here again. Loved the chickens. Emily was a gracious host. Many thanks.

Sweet and cozy home, wonderful owners

  • 4 of 5

My wife, dog and I stayed here while visiting our son at U of O. We found it very comfortable and inviting. Cozy living room, very comfy bed, all the amenities we needed. Totally fenced in backyard was a plus for my dog. Emily the owner was very friendly and responsive to our needs. Location was so great -- near lots of restaurants, trails and a beautiful dog park. The house itself is a bit modest, nothing fancy, but the owners are continuing to make improvements, so don't hesitate. Great value, too. We will be staying there again!

Cozy House in Eugene

  • 4 of 5

Our stay was comfortable for us and very dog friendly. Location is excellent to restaurants, walking trails, dog parks, freeway i-5 and most important for us family location. Had a couple of small issues, such as water heater was not on when we arrived, but Emily easily told us how to fix that and compensated us for the inconvenience. If you are looking for a newer house with newer amenities, this might not be for you. Chickens in back yard was fine with our dogs as they can be confined in a coup. Our dogs forgot about the chickens eventually. It was perfect for us and our need when we stayed.

Owner's Response: Thanks Shu for your nice review, hey that rhymes! No really, I very much enjoyed hosting you and yours. Thanks for working with me on getting the water heater turned back on, the house had been empty for a while so we were conserving electricity. Not gonna happen again! We are looking forward to more bookings, then we can make improvements and updates on the house. The sliding glass door went in just after you left. The chickens have started laying again :-) Thanks for being kind to them! I'm glad you enjoyed convenient location of the house and that though the house itself is simple and the remodel took place in the 90's, it still worked for your needs. I look forward to seeing you back in Eugene soon.
