About Tim and Dawn

My husband and I live in Custer and this is our fourth vacation property. We enjoy meeting and working with people. We take pride in having a five star rating on our other properties and are striving to do so on this property also.

Tim and Dawn purchased this house in 2014

Why Tim and Dawn chose Custer

Tim and I designed and built this home to be a vacation rental. We enjoyed the building process and our guests have enjoyed the home. It has a beautiful view off the porch and the home is very spacious! There is a wood next to the home where the kids can play and make forts! There is a propane fireplace on the porch for your enjoyment on our nice cool evenings!

What makes this house unique

The Mickelson Trail is just off the porch! The trail runs over 100 miles. The deck is comfortable and has a propane fireplace for cool evenings and for roasting marshmallows! Nice yard and woods for the kids to play in and make great memories! The house is spacious and comfortable with all the necessities and more!

Very comfortable and fully equipped property!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time staying at Dawn and Tim's house. The house is a beautiful abode, very well furnished and decorated. There is pretty much everything one might need during a week's or longer stay. Each room has been thoughtfully decorated and everything is well labeled for the guests staying. The property is located in a scenic area. It was fun to watch cowboys at play in the backyard. Special shoutout to the wonderful hosts (Dawn) who called up to make sure everything was good. She is very kind and helpful. We missed the chance of meeting with her and hope to see her sometime again when we are back in the area. Thank you so much for you generous hospitality! - Geetima and Sumit

Great place for my family

  • 5 of 5

This is such a great cabin to stay in! It is very clean, incredibly well stocked, and up to date. My kids adored the little fort hill they could play on. We enjoyed watching the horses and deer around the cabin. We also loved that it was quiet and peaceful. Had a great time on the patio with nice table and fireplace. Thanks so much for everything and would definitely stay again!

Sturgis bucket list!

  • 5 of 5

Well decorated and very clean home away from home. Plenty of room and nice views. Very close to Custer. It was a great home base for many motorcycle rides throughout the area: Hill City, Deadwood, Keystone, Mt Rushmore. Fabulous wildlife all around.

Wonderfully clean, friendly, stocked!

  • 5 of 5

This was a great cabin for our family. Thanks to Dawn for having it so well stocked with what you need (even a potato masher for our turkey dinner!). Dawn is super friendly and even offered to mail us a swimsuit we left behind. Highly recommend! Loved watching the horses run around on the neighboring ranch. Thank you!

Beautiful new log cabin with a great view!

  • 5 of 5

Our family thoroughly enjoyed the log cabin! It was very spacious, clean, well-stocked, tastefully decorated and smelled brand new! The location was within about an hour of every place we wanted to go, and the Michelson trail was right behind the cabin! Dawn was so welcoming and a wonderful hostess! I would recommend the cabin to families of all sizes (up to 12 people).
