We purchased this home because we absolutely LOVE San Francisco and see ourselves living here for the long haul. We really wanted this exact location because the mission has such an incredible and unique mixture of history, culture, and 'hipness.' Not to mention the food in the area is INCREDIBLE.
We are only a 10 walk to Bart or a 7 minutes walk to the J on 30th and Church.
We truly enjoyed our stay in this adorable flat!
We would highly recommend staying here and would come back again. Daniel and Laura are very easy and quick to respond to your needs.
House was wonderful really great location could walk to restaurants and bars. Host were very accommodating. Would highly recommend
Our stay at the "Zimmermansion" was wonderful. The Zimmermans are conscientious, thoughtful, courteous, and incredibly accommodating. Their house is darling! We've done the home-sharing thing on several occasions in SF (we drive up from our beloved Santa Barbara every few months or so), and this stay ranks at the very top. Laura thinks of just about everything. And the Bernal Heights neighborhood is tough to beat. 10 min walk to the 24th and Mission BART stop, and some of the most amazing eats/coffee/bakeries/restaurants are a 5-10 minute walk away. Laura is an easy-going, conscientious hostess--readily accessible if you need her, but totally hands-off if you're self-sufficient. The street can get a bit busy, but the apartment is quiet as a church-mouse (and it IS the city after all--not a backcountry retreat), and it is WONDERFUL to have your own free, assigned parking space--almost unheard of for vacation rentals in SF. Thank you, Zimmermans. We'll be back, for sure!
House was well maintained and had some classy touches to it.The location is very convenient for sightseeing spots and restaurants.
We spent New Year's weekend in San Francisco and were glad to have the Zimmermansion as our base of exploring. Downtown was probably more crowded than normal due to the holiday so it was nice to stay just outside of that and with our muni passes we got around just fine. I liked having a dedicated parking space to park our rental car which is huge in SF and the apartment was cozy and fit our family of five nicely. The owner's communication was great and we felt very welcome in their home.
You're in SAN FRANCISCO! There is something for everyone in this town! Theater, Opera, Museums, INCREDIBLE food, The Golden Gate Bridge, several beautiful hiking locations and incredible views such as lands end, fort Funston, & Chrissy Field. You can hop on BART from our house and go to the Embarcadero and visit the ferry building with tons or local artisian shops and a farmers market (on some days). You can then walk to union square a ride a cable car! The hop back on Bart to have appetizers and drinks at Bar Tartine and then head over to Pizzeria Delfina for the best pizza in the city! There are literally hundreds of delicious resturaunts for 'most' prices ranges :-) Then head back to the Zimmermansion for a good nights sleep!
On a different day you could also go on a walk or run through Golden Gate Park which has several museums (including the Cal Academy of Sciences), a Japanese tea garden, a botanical garden, golf course, archery course, and yes, even Bison!
There is SO much to do in this incredible city! Enjoy!!!
