I'm grateful to have the opportunity to list my property for others to experience, as I am a well seasoned traveler myself who appreciates a more authentic travel experience - one that allows me to get to know a place through the eyes of the local residents.
Darlene purchased this apartment in 2012
Originally born and raised in Louisiana, I enjoy the stimulation New York City offers, but need a peaceful home to retreat to at the end of a hectic, often frenetic day. I honestly haven't found a more peaceful, serene escape in all of this vast city.
Having lived in New Orleans for so many years, to me Brooklyn is the closest thing to the Big Easy that you can get in the Big Apple....
This apartment and the owner, Darlene, were absolutely wonderful. Darlene answered all my questions and was very kind! The apartment was very nice, had terrific bedding, and was very comfortable overall. I only had two concerns: it became costly to travel to the city (however, if you learn the subway system, that is the cheapest option) and the neighborhood that you drive through before coming to the neighborhood of the apartment. I brought my children and we traveled from the airport to the apartment through a rougher appearing neighborhood. The apartment itself was not part of this neighborhood but just be prepared of this prior to your stay. Once you get to the apartment, you are very safe. Again, I loved Darlene and the apartment!! Overall, the experience was great!
From the first time I contacted Darlene regarding her apartment she was very responsive and helpful. The apartment is fantastic!!! A great floor plan, very clean, well stocked, and so comfortable. If I have an occasion to stay in Brooklyn again I will definitely book Darlene's apartment again.
We were visiting for the weekend to see a concert in Brooklyn. This apartment was ultra modern with a flair for eclectic art. Just what we imagined when staying in a "hip" part of NYC. Square footage perfect for 2 adults. The master king bed was one of the most comfortable we have EVER slept in. Darlene the owner was incredibly organized and helpful with a list of suggestions in the area to eat/drink/chill. We loved this neighborhood. The apartment amenities were wonderful. We could've cooked a full Thanksgiving meal there if we wanted (but we didn't - we were there to experience NYC). Would absolutely stay in this place again.
I can't say enough about this apartment. This is our second stay and we absolutely love it. The apartment is clean and comfortably furnished. We love the modern decor and the beds are extra comfy! Darlene is such a pleasure to rent from. There's a subway station within walking distance. This is my favorite place to stay!
Three friends got together and had a great time. This property had everything you need and the bedding was top notch.
We walked a block to the train. To the corner for a few drinks. Will use this again when next visiting New York.
This property was absolutely wonderful. We found it to be exceptionally clean and well kept with all amenities provided, inuding linenes which was great! Darlene is a super host and the communication through out the booking process and stay has been excellent. She made sure our check in and stay was smooth and whether or not we needed anything to make our stay more enjoyable.
Thanks for sharing your place with us!
