About George & Carolyn Anderson, 4737 Old Hwy. 2 N, Troy, MT 59935
We are retirees from the state of Virginia. George worked 20+ years as an Entomologist with the Virginia Dept. of Agriculture. I worked 30+ years as a Registered Nurse. Both of us retired early so we could move to Montana and enjoy its beauty and activities as much as possible. We also wanted to live in a log home. We contracted with a local Amish community to build the beautiful, custom home we now use as a vacation rental. We enjoyed living in that log home so much we are presently building and living in another one.
George & Carolyn Anderson, 4737 Old Hwy. 2 N, Troy, MT 59935 purchased this Cabin in 1998
Why George & Carolyn Anderson, 4737 Old Hwy. 2 N, Troy, MT 59935 chose Troy
Both of us have always enjoyed the outdoors, camping, hiking, and all other activities associated with the outdoors. We visited Montana numerous times on vacation, deciding early on this was where we wanted to live when we retired. This area is an outdoor enthusiast dream and we have never looked back or regretted our decision to move here. It is, in our opinion, one of the most beautiful, recreational, and people friendly spots in the country. If you are lucky enough to be able to visit us here, we think you will agree.

Clean quiet getaway
This is by far one of my favorite rentals. It was impeccably clean, homey and perfect for a quiet weekend. The owners were very welcoming and ready to help with anything we could have needed. They even keep a path clear all the way down to this beautiful creek. We saw grouse, turkey and a bald eagle all in one night. If you are looking for a quiet cabin in the woods, this is the place!!
Thanks so much for the great review. It was a pleasure to meet you and have you as a guest at our vacation rental.
Excellent place and beautiful inside, much prettier than picturs show.
The owners are awesome people and keep the home immulate. The only diappointment was no fish in the creek during our stay.
We had a very relaxing time while staying in this cabin. It was very comfortable and clean.
Overall we were very happy with our visit. The cabin is very clean and well equipped. The three decks all have lovely views and the land is gorgeous. The owners, Carolyn and George were just as nice as can be. The pride in ownership shows.
It was a great place. We were happy to have found this house.
Where I have always wanted to be
During my stay of a week at your beautiful cabin; I found George and Carolyn most welcoming, warm, sweet, caring, helpful and very nice to talk with. I have always loved Montana and was very happy I was able to have the privilege to not only stay for a week, but it was an honor and a blessing to meet such wonderful folks George and Carolyn, I loved their cabin. Very clean, has everything you need, and ready for when you arrive. They will be there to give to a warm greeting you when you arrive which is very nice. They also will walk you through the cabin so you will know where everything is that you may need. I really enjoyed the wildlife, the quiet, and even though Troy shown signs of very little signs of smoke from the wildfires; it did not stop me from the time I was able to spend at the cabin and in Troy. I could go on; but it is a must see and experience you have to be there along with meeting George and Carolyn. My dog loved it there the time she was able to spend there. Thank you so very much George and Carolyn for all you kindness, support, and the concern for me during this time. I am hoping to be back again and look so forward to seeing you both. You both gave me the chance to be where I have always wanted to be and in a log cabin, loved it. I left you some brochures on the Oregon Coast so if you ever decide to come this way again. Thank you and God bless you both.....Susan.
