This Keauhou Kona Surf & Racquet Club (KKSRC) condo is on the third floor of building #5 and allows for uniquely spectacular oceanfront AND golf course views. And, there are two master bedrooms in this unit! There are very few units anywhere in Kona that can lay claim to the views and quiet private location enjoyed from this unique unit.
The kitchen has been remodeled with all new appliances, new countertops; new carpeting throughout, new paint and new linens. It will be a perfect place to celebrate and enjoy paradise!

There are two bedrooms plus a loft sleeping area and so the condo will comfortably accommodate six guests.
The oceanfront bedroom has a queen bed, second/golf course ‘front’ bedroom has a king size bed which can be made into two twin beds, if needed. The oceanfront bedroom also opens to the oceanfront lanai.
There are shoji screens between oceanfront bedroom and main living area – you can close these for complete and total privacy if traveling with a group OR for a single couple just leave them open to enjoy the mountain and ocean breezes in this huge open space. There is a queen bed in the loft.
Your lanai has seating for four at the bistro table, this taller table allows for unobstructed views of the ocean. (Indoor dining table seats six.) Your choice of dining indoors or out!
There are also a couple of other chairs on the oceanfront lanai with a small table for someone to just relax and enjoy sounds of the surf and the oceanfront views while relaxing with a tropical treat or book.

This penthouse unit has 16’ vaulted ceilings which make it feel very open, airy and spacious, it is well worth the walk up the stairs for this extra space!
There is also an in-unit phone, FREE wifi, a bluetooth speaker for your music and a blue-ray player for your videos. You can be totally connected while in paradise. There is also free wifi at the main pavilion in complex.
Kahalu’u Beach Park is less than 1⁄2 mile from our complex. This protected bay provides a snorkeling park that is great for beginners or advanced snorkelers and includes parking, bathrooms, water equipment (snorkel or other gear), and fast food vendors and there are lifeguard/s on duty most days. There’s also a BBQ area and places to enjoy your visit in either the sun or shade. It’s perfect!
KKSRC has a large swimming pool, a path to nearby beach located at north end or complex and a shoreline path along south portion of the complex, three newly resurfaced and lighted (in evenings) tennis courts and several BBQ areas.

This has been the perfect stay for my family! I love the ocean views and sound of the waves crashing against the lava. The condo is beautifully furnished and the high ceilings give a feel of spaciousness. The cool breeze off the ocean and views are just amazing! Spotless condition and all the necessities of home! Love it!
I know it costs more to stay at a beachfront property, but if we wanted to stay half a mile away from the water, we could have stayed home. My wife and I love to hear the waves crashing into the rocks, and from our bedroom we could hear that all night. Several mornings I got up before dawn and sat on the lanai, just looking at the lights of Kailua in the distance and listening to the sea. Sometimes, when a really big wave hit, I could feel a little of the spray--and this is up on the third floor. It doesn't get any better (or closer) than this. The condo itself was fine: big, clean, comfortable, well-maintained. Even the grounds of the Surf and Racquet Club are interesting. There are the ruins of what was once the residence of nobles, possibly even kings. At least there's a sign saying so. There also is a path (not well marked, unfortunately) leading to a black sand beach. Look for the path behind the tennis courts, near Townhouses 1-13. At the end of the beach is another ruin but no sign saying what it is.
Loved our stay in this condo. The location was perfect! We saw whales from the condo and sea turtles on the beach located close to the property. They had everything we could have needed in the condo for a fun day on the beach as well as kitchen and bathroom supplies. We loved walking through the town of Kona for shopping and eating. Loved, loved, loved the signature Hawaiian shaved ice at Kona Wave. Would definitely book here again!
Lovely unit with a view and light breeze as you gaze at the ocean, waves, whales spouting, stunning sunsets and serene moon. Would return time and again!
The condo at the surf & racket club was just right for us. From the moment we arrived to see the gorgeous views from the 3rd floor lanai to the spacious living area. That is why we like VRBO so much versus a hotel room. You feel like you are in your own living space. The location is close to Kona and other areas. A great grocery store and shopping mall with restaurants a block away. We spent more time staying at the unit than planned just watching the waves crash into the lava and beautiful sunsets. Also saw a couple of whale sightings. Very comfortable accommodations. Would we come back to this location- definitely but will bring family / friends with us next time.

CANCELLATION POLICY and INTERNATIONAL TAX FEES
Credit Card - International Tax Fees
International Travelers will have international tax fees withheld from security deposit. For example: credit card processing for VRBO users in United States is 2.9%; international tax fees are an additional 2% totaling 4.9%. Guests using international card will have 2% of total credit card amount charged with-held from security deposit. No charge on domestic (US cards) regular 2.9%; charge on international tax fee only.
Cancellation Policy
Our formal cancellation policy is strict - there are NO refunds. Reservations cancelled 60 or more days prior to arrival can have deposit applied to another stay within one year of original arrival date. Cancellations less than 60 days have NO REFUND.
On an informal note, we understand that the unexpected can happen and would do our best to re-book any cancelled nights/days and try to offer a corresponding refund.
We suggest guests consider purchasing insurance to cover rental related costs in the event they need to cancel reservation.
Guests agree to honor all details in RENTAL AGREEMENT upon payment for this rental.
Security Deposit Refunds are set to automatically refund within 7-14 days of check-out. Housekeeper will supply information of damage and corresponding receipts if and when necessary. We're lucky that this rarely occurs!
Cleaning & Guest Supply Fee - this covers departure out-cleaning & tax fee for housekeeper AND it also covers one time stocking for paper towels, toilet paper, soaps (laundry, dishwasher, dish, hand, bath), plastic wrap, garbage bags, baggies, glass cleaner, dryer sheets, etc. so that guests do not need to purchase these items independently.
For stays longer than 7-10 nights an additional interim cleaning ($60) may apply. Mold & Mildew set in quickly in oceanfront, salt-sprayed properties and we want to keep them nice and clean for you!
