Welcome to "Safe Haven". This top floor, penthouse condo located at By The Sea is AMAZING.
We now have sandy beach access right across the street from By The Sea.
This 2/2 features a California King in the Master bedroom. The second bedroom has direct balcony access and most importantly that AMAZING top floor, penthouse Gulf view. Wake up and enjoy just seeing the ocean while laying in our Queen sized bed. The beds were rearranged to create more space to be more accommodating.
The Master bathroom features a custom tiled shower with a built in seat.
Jacuzzi tub in the bedroom located by the 2nd bedroom.
We have Queen sleeper sofa , and a full sized hideaway bed that allows us to easily sleep 8. Please see the photos to help you understand our sleeping arrangements.
The beautiful living room is perfect for entertaining of just looking at the Gulf. All bedrooms do have TV and the condo equipped with Wifi.
The condo features a full kitchen for all your cooking needs. While you make breakfast you can still enjoy that AMAZING ocean view.
The condo does have a washer and dryer inside the unit.
The front office at By the Sea 24 hours a day. We have beautiful grounds with a lovely pool for our guests to use.
Parking has been changed to $15 per car, valid for the entire stay. Daily trash pick up at the condo door.
The Seascape is located on the Western end Seawall. You are just a few minutes from popular attractions such as Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn, the Pleasure Pier, and so much more. Galveston has too many exacting attractions to list. You are a minutes drive from many popular restaurants as well.

Fun Place to Stay!
Condo was very nice. It has a great view of the gulf. Having a washer and dryer in the room was a big plus. Our only complaint was that the water pressure was insufficient to make the dishwasher work. However, I guess that the city of Galveston was experiencing problems which most likely contributed to this problem. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and the facilities very much. Can't wait till we can return.
Good Location. Aged Property in Need of General Maintenance and Cleaning
Rented this condo to spend Christmas with my son and his family. The location is convenient. The property is aged and the condo unit still has the original sliding glass doors that allow wind to blow through. That is understood for an older building.
However, the cleanliness of the unit was lacking. I should preface this with the fact that I raised 4 sons, so I am not a clean freak. Clutter is fine, but when you pay a cleaning fee for a rental, you expect it to be clean. Looks like they just cleaned what you could easily see/reach on surface areas.
Rental agreement stated I must immediately contact the property manager if any damages or issues upon were noted at check-in, so I emailed Christina. I quoted any damaged items I found and indicated a dirty oven and towels not stored in proper place. The oven had burnt on food spillage that appeared to be from multiple uses. The bath towels were stored under the vanity sinks alongside the toilet bowl brush and toilet plunger. Christina’s response was they had been doing that for years. There is a linen closet in the hallway to the main bath. Why don't they use it?
Christina offered to have someone come into unit to clean the oven while we explored Galveston, and I refused as I didn't want people there without me. Was told half of the cleaning fee would be refunded to me. That never happened. There were many more items in need of cleaning that I didn’t bother to tell Christina about, but left open or exposed when I vacated the unit. Hopefully, the cleaner took the hints.
It took several minutes to get "warm", not hot, water to the kitchen faucet and the pressure was low. Probably due to the aged plumbing since rusty water appeared in the main bathtub both times I initially turned on the faucet. Dishwasher would not work. It kept giving an error message about no water supply.
You cannot open the refrigerator door very far because it hits the kitchen cabinets. Only 1 kitchen garbage bag was provided, but you are told to place your garbage outside your door each day of your stay.
My husband noted a safety hazard exists in master bath with the tile floor since you must climb up and down about half a foot to get into a raised shower stall. No anti-skid rugs for wet feet hitting that tile, so one must be extremely careful exiting the shower.
This was my 1st time, and last time, renting a listing managed by a property manager. Have always had great experiences with owner-managed properties.
I am very sorry this guest has a bad experience. The experience could have been improved had the guest read over what was required for her stay. I did offer to refund half the cleaning fee yet the guest would not allow us in the condo to address any noted problems. I personally had been in the condo with contractors all week. The guest ONLY called about a spot in the oven which again she refused to let us address. The cleaning manager and I meet at the condo after her departure. We did not see any issues that would merit any kind of refund. The oven certainty is not brand new but it was clean for her stay.
The sliding glass doors are exposed to the salt water. Even when new they often experience problems. Had the guest called we would have sent maintenance right away.
The guest did not bring the supplies she needed for her stay. She was with us with her large family for a week. Items like trash bags will be needed. We advise that only a start up supply of items like trash bags is supplied.
Our condo is completely up to code and we have taken every aspect of safety into consideration. As a Realtor I can assure you we have gone above any average owner to ensure all laws are followed as this is why my license details. I live 5 minutes from the property and even offered to come by myself. The guest simply wanted monetary credit and not resolution to any possible issues.
Please review all reviews as this one is simply not accurate in terms of a true guest experience with us. I certainly wish we could make every stay perfect.
Had a great vaca!! this unit is very nice kept and updated. It has everything you need. It was so relaxing to hear the waves that before we knew it it was time yo go. Looking forward to our next stay.
Condo appeared bigger in pictures but it was a lovely place to stay.
Convienent location, nice up to date condo. Pool was great with butane grills.

Located minutes from the main activities all over the island. Walk across the street and enjoy a nice walk down our historical Seawall.
Additional information about rental rates
$15 parking fee charged upon arrival per vehicle upon arrival. No Saturday check in our check out for Spring Summer season. Small pets ONLY considered. Pet information must be sent with reservation for approval. Pet fee is per pet. All reservations are subject to contract review and acceptance. Please email names of all guests with ages when requesting a reservation. Rental agreement is executed when you request a booking with us. Contact for Winter Monthly rates in the Fall and Winter Check in documents are sent to the tenant 48 hours before arrival at the email on file. You will need to review and print this documentation for access information. Per our rental agreement we ONLY supply a start up amount of items like toilet paper, paper towel, and trash bags. You must bring what is needed for the duration of your stay. We do not provide toiletries such as shampoo and body soap. VRBO/ HomeAway is a 3rd party company. You are not reserving this condo with their service as they just advertise and handle payments for our management company. All questions need to be directly sent to the property Manager. Email may result in a faster response during our busy Spring and Summer seasons.
