Cons: We arrived a few minutes after 3pm ( The check in time) and the owner was still there and greeted us outside. (Very friendly) She was packing up her car. She said the cleaning person was still there but we were welcome to go in. She seemed surprised we had a boat. She said the boat dock is full and had to make a call to make room for our boat. We decided to take a short drive to check out the Marina and area to give the cleaning person time to finish up. We returned 40 minutes later and she was still there. She didn't end up leaving till 5pm. 2 hours after check in. (She was very nice and friendly as well and felt very bad.)
When we went in we noticed the following.
Broken bath sink on main level, Clogged sink on lower level, the house has No air conditioning, (note: 2nd floor gets to 85 in the afternoons) and there was a Broken blind in master bedroom. We did call the rental company and they sent someone out. He poured liquid plumber down the sink and said sorry.
The coffee maker didn't work and didn't have a glass pot. We ended up buying one and left there for the next renters...
Note: If you plan to do cooking bring some pans. The ones supplied are very low quality and made it very difficult to prepare meals.
Pros: The house has a great layout on both levels with a big open floor plan. Lots of updated features and clean.. Some very cool art and conversation pieces around the house. The large Master on the main floor has a huge bathroom. There are good size bedrooms downstairs and futon in the family room. Plenty of sleeping room for 2 families with adult kids.
All the beds are very comfortable and large. (Great quality sheets with upgraded mattresses.)
Great view from the deck with awesome sunsets. ( There is limited outdoor seating so bring some camp chairs.)
There is an awesome massage chair in the living room. Everyone who stays there will sure enjoyed that.
There is fairly easy access to the lake which is about a ten minute boat ride. Awesome views and houses as you troll through the channels.
Huge dining table with plenty of room for everyone staying there to eat together.
Despite the few issues we had upon arrival this is a very nice house and we had a great stay there.
I would give this house a 3.4 as it sits and could very well be a 4.5 to 5 with a few more minor improvements.
Lets all hope for a epic few winters to fill up the Lake and channels.
