Here you will find a fully restored 1910 Craftsman, 2700 square feet home with 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, living room, library, and dining room. The home is fully furnished in the soulful period in which it was built. Each bedroom has a Queen Size bed and an en suite bathroom, fitted with a claw foot tub, shower, and an antique vanity. The home boasts of beautiful fir wood, stained glass, built in buffets, two fireplaces, a fully equipped kitchen with a grand Viking Stove. It is graced with a front and back grassy yard with wrought iron patio furniture to relax and enjoy the California weather while you dine or watch your children play. Relax on the large front porch with your morning coffee, walk up and down main street and enjoy the restaurants, antique stores, museums or take an historic train ride.

Our home is situated next door to Santa Paula Theater Center and Beautiful Ebell Park (which closes at sunset), One of the finest community live theaters in southern California, plays are presented throughout the year in the 1917 Ebell Club building, a National Register Historic Site.

Fantastic restored house with excellent host.

Right house for the right situation. This is a thoughtfully restored house with tons of space. It worked great for our family vacation with kids. Host was excellent and attentive throughout the stay.

My family and I were very disappointed. The house was very dirty and dangerous for small children.

The photos of the house are very nice but are not representative of what we we found. We were all very disappointed. Our first impact was the yard and front porch both completely abandoned in addition there was a sofa supported by bricks on the very dirty porch. Had it been clean we could have at least used it. Entering the house the door glass had been taped, the smell of dust and the lack of attention to cleanliness was appallingly evident. The house was orderly but not in the condition for guests let alone young children. The 5 bedrooms were decorated with antique furniture that for the most part was falling apart, in poor condition or at best visually beautiful but often not functional. The 5 restored bathrooms were the only rooms in the house that were clean and functional. The kitchen was haphazardly over stocked with chipped dishes, mismatch silverware, dusty and very old pots and pans. The outside of the house was unfortunately completely unusable the four round glass tables had been completely left to rot in the elements, evidenced by rust, dirt and mold on the cushions. We tried to clean them off but it was a wasted effort. Aside from the lack of attention given to the smallest things like a first aide kit that we found had been picked apart by rats and out dated medicine was yet again completely unusable. I'm very very upset over the situation and hope that VRBO will do something in the future to protect families from this type of listing. The photos don't show the reality of what we found. And I should also mention that our decision to leave was not only the dirt but also that we found a black widow spider in the living room. That was the final straw my families safety should come first and in this case it was glaring evident that it was not. I hope that my experience will protect future renters.

Owner's Response: This woman posed as a lovely traveler and convinced me to operate outside of Vrbo in order to save her the service fee. She reserved me for 10 days and couldn't have been lovelier on email. I was away while she arrived and I trusted her to pay me. 5 days later when I returned to collect payment, she had vacated, leaving my property completely trashed and having paid me none of what we had agreed upon. Her review is in defense of me taking legal action against her. I was scammed by a con artist, and have learned my lesson. She never once responded to my emails or texts while she stayed. Any normal woman would have responded, especially if she had any concern whatsoever. She played me completely and my only fault was falling for it and trusting her. And she only posted this review when I posted a negative one about her as a traveler. I have had city officials retreat in my home. I have had many other guests, and repeat renters. I have had many young children, as it is a family own children and grandchildren have stayed there, and delighted to do so. My home has been used as a spiritual retreat and a get away for leaders of corporations. None have ever expressed any complaint. My home is welcoming and clean and ready for anyone who is respectful and wants to experience beauty right in the middle of Main street. her charges are outlandish and only in defense of a manipulator. Bewarned owners, of people who have no integrity.
