Not satisfied

The room had a great few and was fast access to the beach. The beach was clean and the pool area was clean, we loved the turf area by the pool. The room itself my family and myself were very disappointed in. When we walked in we instantly noticed how dirty the walls and carpet were. There was sand all in our sheets and the shower curtain was broke so it fell on us several times. There was only 3 towels and wash clothes provided so we had to go purchase detergent to wash over and over along with the sandy sheets on our beds which also cost more money with every wash. The floors looked as if they haven't been mopped in months and were slick to walk on from built up of sunscreen, the pull out couch was broken and VERY uncomfortable, the door to the balcony was very hard to open and close, and it was very hard to find parking all week.

We had a very relaxing week!

  • 4 of 5

The view was awesome!! Just perfect! One morning while sitting on the balcony I saw dolphins playing. The location was great! What I did not like...was the PARKING! It sucked! The parking building was always overcrowded and not very much room when vehicles we going both ways to get in/out. It would had been nice to have had a vaccum or access to one. I like sand on the beach, not in the room. LOL The beds were comfortable and so was the couch. I did have a couple of questions and Jordan got back with me quick! I liked that. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, even if it did rain 4 out of 7 days I was there, I couldn't complain. Also, I had my nails done there and the lady did a fantastic job! What cost $35+ only cost me $25 and I absolutely love them! The lady that did my nails took her time and made sure they were perfect. They were also very friendly with my little girl while she waited on me. I did feel that since I was staying at Sand Dunes we should of had access to their water park and their fun park even though we went through a private owner. But, that's ok. My baby had the time of her life and cried when we left. (So did I).

Nice place and nice view

  • 3 of 5

Was a nice place with a nice balcony view but could've been cleaner upon arrival and we didn't have any linens. Also every night cockroaches came out in the kitchen. Other than that it was a nice place.

Disgusting - Would be NO stars if possible

  • 1 of 5

We were very displeased with the condo we rented in Myrtle Beach from July 11th - July 18th. When we first walked in there were 2 dirty used rags on one of the beds & the carpets were nasty & there were sunflower seed shells on the floor. There was no vacuum, no dustpan & no mop. We had to sweep the carpets onto the tile floor & use a make shift dustpan, which was one of the thousand pizza flyers that they kept shoving in the door. There was no can opener, the spatula was melting to the pan when we made pancakes, or grilled cheese or anything. There were no drinking glasses, only coffee cups, no containers like to make anything in the microwave (thank God we brought a couple, by chance). There were 2 stove knobs & neither matched, then one of them was not even aligned right so it was in the position for medium heat when it was actually off. The sink area with the faucet & knobs were super loose, about to come out of the sink. On one of the beds which is a double bed, there were queen sized sheets on the bed so they did not stay on. The extra sheets that were in the condo were also queen. The pull out couch was also not a queen so I don't know why queen sheets were even in there at all. One of the pillows on that same bed had a rip in the end so stuffing was exposed. The dresser was a complete mess with broken handles that would swing from one screw, it was difficult to even open the drawers. The pieces to the main door handle, the old handle that takes the card 'key', was in the top dresser drawer. There was what looked like mold on the wall above the tub/shower, also there was mildew build-up in the crevices of the shower wall. The toilet would get stuck when you flush it sometimes so it would run for a while & it's loud. The probably worse part of it all was that it had roaches!!! My mother woke up in bed to a roach crawling on her! And that was not the first one we saw. We also saw them on the floor, the balcony, the ceiling, then the most embarrassing was when my mother picked up her lounge chair off the balcony, walked alll the way down the hallway to the elevator, rode it from the 8th floor down to the ground floor, walked all the way out to the beach, opened up her lounge chair, to have a massive roach fall out & start running up the crowded beach! I emailed the owner the week that we returned home & the only response I got was that they would get this info to the appropriate person. After giving them ample time with no word, I left this review

Owner's Response: I want to start out by apologizing for all the issues you encountered during your stay with us last summer! It is unfortunate that you are only brought up these issues up after your stay, when one phone call on your arrival could of rectified most of these problems. We leave our contact information on the refrigerator for this very reason! If we aren't made aware of issues during your stay, we can't fix them. We have since deep cleaned, taken a full inventory of the room, and had our maintenance crew do a sweep and shouldn't have these issues again. Again, we are sorry that you had to deal with these problems on your vacation, hopefully you will give us another opportunity to host you in the future! Thanks for the feedback, Oceanfront Guru Vacation Rentals
