The Simple Life Cabin is the third cabin of the Snowlee Collective. Check out our other two properties to see how we do it: The JimJack Shack (www.vrbo.com/461023) and the Mt. Baker Birdhouse (www.vrbo.com/348877) Both of these cabins have been very well received and we expect the Simple Life Cabin to be the best yet. And why shouldn't it? This cabin should appeal to all. It is quiet, clean, beautiful and comfortable. Bring your significant other here, and revel in their company. Or come alone, just you and your book; the one you are writing. This place is worthy of a masterpiece!fcg

About eli lee
We live in Bellingham with our daughter and two dogs, in a perfect little neighborhood right next to the grade school of our choice. My Wife and I met at Grahams bar right down the street in Glacier. I proposed to her at one of our other cabins; we still love the woods and solitude of Glacier
eli lee purchased this House in 2014
Why eli lee chose Glacier
The Simple Life Cabin has been on our radar for a LONG time. We have always admired it from afar, and when it came up for sale we immediately purchased it; no hesitation. We love the architecture of it, and the way it glides across the landscape.
What makes this House unique
Nestle in to the Simple life. It isn't hard to do.

The Simple Life Cabin is so dreamy!
We absolutely loved our stay at the Simple Life. It’s our third stay to date and are already planning another.
Everything you need for a relaxing weekend reset
The cabin is so charming cozy and clean and stocked with everything you need. We love coming to the Simple Life cabin and will be back again and again!
Fabulous property, just as pictured.
You really do feel like you're living in the woods -- except with Wi-Fi! We loved staying in this very special cabin. The internet did go out once, but we followed the owner's instructions -- unplugging the router and plugging it in again -- in the manual and it returned. The cabin had everything we needed, including condiments and a lot of peanut butter. Everything worked great. It was wonderful coming back to the nicely hearted hot tub after our raft trip in the 45-degree Nooksack. We only wish we could have stayed longer. Would stay here again, definitely.
our first choice in Glacier
This is our fourth time staying at the simple life cabin, three times as a base for a week of Mt. Baker area hiking and once as a quiet get away. It will continue to be our first choice when we return. Glacier is very peaceful place to get away with fantastic hiking.
Will just repeat our previous review from last summer with a few additions. The appliances have been updated. We lost internet almost once a day on both of our devices, but in all cases resetting the modem recovered it so wasn't an issue. There is a new "Japanese Mountain food" restaurant in Maple Falls. Didn't get a chance to try it. Entry gate was changed from a keycard to calling in on a keypad and having gate opened. That worked well and was actually easier.
And as before:
It is a small cabin, suitable for a solo or couple but with an open air design up that makes it seem large. The house is set up such that the entire backside has windows overlooking a fern and tree filled gulley; lots of privacy. We enjoyed eating our meals inside, (some we cooked, others were takeout) and in general hanging around on the couch looking out. The hot tub was a daily treat, and there's a hiking trail into the woods that is just past the driveway. We walked this one afternoon to the river. The community has a friendly vibe to it.
The accommodations were as advertised, the response from the owners was quick, the price was reasonable, WiFi worked well (just unplug and replug modem if any problems), and there is a house phone with free incoming/outgoing long distance(no cell service).
For food, there's Chair Nine Pizza w/in walking distance; Milano's/Graham's five minutes drive away; North Fork Pizza Brewery and Rifugio's about 30 min away. And of course Wake and Bakery five minutes away. We stopped by there every morning.
The kitchen had all we needed in terms of pots/pans/utensils/coffee pot. Bring your own personal items like soap/shampoo etc. and food items which is standard for VRBO places. towels provided; Bed was comfortable. The place was clean and immaculate upon our arrival.
Be sure to have all the info printed out since there's no cell/wifi in town to pull it up. It was easy.
Also, the owners do a good job with providing info before your visit, and a notebook in the place for info relevant to your visit and what to do etc.
tranquil get away
A lovely cottage for 2 in a very tranquil woods setting...went hiking each day and it was great to come back to this relaxing home with a hot-tub!
Great Quiet Little Place in Woods
This is nice place to get away from life for a while. No cell signal (for Verizon at least), but wifi is there if you need it. Easy walk to the pool or short trail to the river. Not far from good hiking.
It is a bit far from any kind of grocery store so plan well.
Definitely recommend Milano's in Glacier.
The Simple Life Cabin is located right on the edge of the Mt. Baker National Forest. This is a quiet corner of the world. Immerse yourself in the forest. Dominating sounds include those of the woodpecker, owl and robin. There is moss everywhere; these stones don't roll! Summertime hikes are in abundance, and winter can be astoundingly serene. Rarely does it snow at the Simple Life, but between the months of January and July, a thirty minute drive will take you straight to the deepest average snowpack in the US, if not the world!
Rates & Availability
Additional information about rental rates
Priority is given to longer rentals; we take two night rental reservations for only the next thirty days. Exceptions may be made, and are done so only by the owners! Likely reasons for exceptions: 1. If your check-in date is the same as the check-out date of the previous guest. 2. If your check-out date is the same as the next guest. 3. If you want a mid-week rental, and it is the slow season. One can view all our reservations by clicking the "flexible dates" box. Major US holidays require a three night stay. Once we have received your payment, you will be sent directions and check-in information. If you have any questions, never fear, we will answer them promptly, and in exacting detail. Just don't call before coffee.
