Why Lucy Haxton chose Malton
We fell in love with Habton House as soon as we saw it, it's a beautiful property in a very peaceful secluded location, yet it's not too far from civilisation! We moved here in 2009 and we renovated the house initially as a 3 bedroom B&B and latterly as a 2 bed holiday cottage.
What makes this Cottage unique
Lovely countryside, peace and quiet, a very homely comfortable cottage with everything you could wish for (we hope!!).

Splendid cottage in beautiful surroundings
A well equipped cottage, everything is done to a high standard. Although away from 'civilisation' the cottage is a great base for visiting Castle Howard, Whitby, York and the amazing Yorkshire Moors. We hope to be revisiting soon.
Quite simply the loveliest holiday home we have stayed in. Beautifully done from top to bottom. Excellent location. Great base for exploring so many places.
Immaculately clean, comfortable cottage in an idyllic setting. So peaceful, we really enjoyed our stay.
Thank you for your kind review, we're really pleased you enjoyed your stay.
Beautiful cottage in stunning surroundings. Really can't fault it at all in fact I've already recommended to friends!
Thank you very much. Looking forward to welcoming your friends, who have already booked :)
Lovely cottage in a peaceful rural location
We really enjoyed our stay here. The cottage is tastefully decorated and very well equipped. The welcome basket was a very nice touch too.
The location is rural so it was very quiet and peaceful.
Malton is only a few miles away and has interesting shops and restaurants and the coast and York are only a short drive away so the cottage is well placed in our opinion.

4 days of peace and quiet at this lovely cottage
This well equipped and warm cottage was delightful. The welcome pack was great. A peaceful setting at the end of a private road, with no passing traffic. 😀, but close enough to places of interest and amenities. Will revisit again.
Thank you for your kind review. We're really pleased you enjoyed your stay. Hope to see you again.

Stay on for the full 18 mile trip to Whitby and enjoy fish and chips by the seaside!
Eden Camp, which is an award winning Second World War Museum, occupying a former prisoner-of-war camp of 33 huts, and just 3 miles away from Habton House.
