Being so close to the reveling on Frenchmen Street, at times it can get a little noisy. Particularly during festivals. There is a 'pick-up' brass band that jams most every night on the corner down the street. They usually knock off before 10pm. They are really good and I find myself pulling a chair out on the front porch, making a cocktail and enjoying the sounds. Just saying, It's not crazy all night or every night but If you are seeking a tranquil and peaceful vacation this might not be the spot for you.
On the other hand if you came down to enjoy the Music, Food and Art scene this is definitely the place to be.
