About the property

This holiday home is a bright three-bedroom (two single beds in bedroom 1, one single bed in bedroom 2 and one single bed in bedroom 3) apartment on the second floor (there is no lift) of a modern building in the popular Marchmont area. It's a short walk across the Meadows (an open area of parkland) to the Old Town and the city centre, meaning that you are within easy walking distance of the major tourist attractions, festival venues, shops, nightlife and transport connections. At the end of the street you are faced with the dramatic backdrop of Edinburgh Castle.

The spacious living-room has floor-to-ceiling windows, and there's a sunny west-facing balcony. The kitchen is well provided with crockery, cutlery, glasses and kitchenware, as well as a washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, cooker, toaster and kettle. The kitchen also has a dining area with table and chairs.

There is a bathroom with a wash-hand basin, WC and bathtub with shower over. Also, there's a separate shower room with wash-hand basin, WC and shower.

The apartment has gas central heating. The price of gas, electricity and local taxes is included.

For the comfort of future guests, the apartment is non-smoking (including on the balcony) and pets are not allowed. The apartment block sits in well-maintained shared landscaped gardens. Note that there is no free parking available at this option (paid on-street parking is available with payment by meter during daytime hours: please check on-street signs).

Very good with 4 adults, good busservice & shops.

Comfortable. Sunny sleeping with some traffic noise, good to eat on the balcony. Good kitchen equipment.

We found in not very hygienic to have carpet in the toilet. And we missed 2 chairs on the balcony.

Agréable appartement en plein coeur d'Edimbourgh

Nous avons été agréablement surpris de la qualité de l'appartement. En plein coeur d'Edimbourgh, il est idéalement placé pour visiter la ville à pied.

La proximité des services est un réel atout (arrêt de bus, supermarché...).

L'appartement est très spacieux et plaira autant aux familles qu'aux groupes de potes !!

Nous ne pouvons que recommander cet appartement pour un séjour à Edimbourgh.

PS: Nous pouvons aussi souligner le professionnalisme du personnel pour l'accueil, la gestion et l'organisation des locations.

Perfect area

Lovely, warm, spacious and clean apartment. Wine and milk in fridge much appreciated. Excellent facilities and a great 15mins walk through the meadows to fringe venues. Excellent area for great little cafes and bars too. Good communication with the managers. Loved the view of Arthurs seat from the bedrooms. Would recommend to friends.

Perfect Location!

This property was in the perfect location for all that we were seeing and doing while in Edinburgh. It was also a nice 20 minute walk from my brother's home. We had a great view of Arthur's Seat from all the bedroom windows, and street noise did not interfere with our sleep!

The unit is well maintained and spacious, and was exactly what we needed as my brother came for tea a couple of times and we were able to entertain him in the comfort of the living room. Martin stayed in contact with us throughout our stay, welcoming us, then later letting us know of roof work that was going to be done. Everything about renting this unit was done seamlessly.

It was a nice surprise to find fruit, shortbread and wine on the table when we arrived, along with coffee and tea available for us.

There are several food shops along Marchmont Rd, we really liked the Scot Co-op just down the road from us.

I would recommend this unit to anyone travelling with 3-4 in their group, as it has enough room for everyone to stretch out and decompress after a day of sightseeing. We will definitely return, and we will definitely be using this service again!

A great property in a great location

We simply loved this place. In under 500 square feet, it had absolutely all we needed for a family of three. Clean, well laid out, good appliances, safe premises, very quiet neighbors, and literally across the street from one of the greatest cafes in Edinburgh. A twenty-minute walk gets you right into the heart of town, and at the end of the day you're in a quiet area away from the party life of the Grassmarket and University. Wonderful restaurants are just a 20-minute walk over down the Grange Road. Martin is a great communicator and answered every one of our questions long before we arrived, making for a totally joyful and painless experience. Great value for money. We will gladly come back to Edinburgh, and we will gladly stay here again.

Lovely home from home in perfect location

Stayed at kilgraston court for ten days during our daughters admission to sick kids for spinal surgery. Apartment is located in the lovely Marchmont area of Edinburgh. Local area is lovely with shops restaurants and delicatessens. Everything you need is on the doorstep. Apartment has a dedicated parking space which is a god send in Edinburgh. The city centre is a short walk through the beautiful meadows parkway where there are people picnicking, playing sports, playing instruments or just lounging enjoying the view. The apartment itself is on the second floor of the building. It is a large bright and airy place with a west facing balcony with table and chairs. There are three bedrooms a large lounge area with sofa Bed, family bathroom, shower room and a large well equipped kitchen with all mod cons and a nice dining area with table and chairs. The main bedroom has two single beds pushed together and a large mirrored wardrobe, bedside tables and lamps. Think owner should consider a double bed in this room or perhaps the single beds with zip join option to avoid the inevitable falling down the middle! The other two bedrooms are very decent sized singles with wardrobes computer desks and furniture. we were impressed with the little touches of coffee, tea, hand soaps, cleaning materials etc which were all provided. We had fresh linen and towels provided halfway through our stay which was also a nice touch. Overall we were delighted with our accommodation and although we selected it because of proximity to the sick kids, should we visit Edinburgh again we would definitely stay in this apartment as it was a lovely apartment situated in a lovely area in close proximity to the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Best of both worlds.
