Our Punta Carnerno beach house is a perfect spot for relaxing and intimate vacation. It is a newly renovated 3 bedroom, 2,5 bathrooms spacious beach house with terrace, hammocks, outdoor grill. 50 meters to Punta Carnero beach, 7 miles from Public Beach in Salinas. Enjoy waves, Pacific Ocean sunset, crabs running on the beach, pelicans hunting, take the book that you wanted to read long time ago but never could find the right moment and place. Punta Carnero is the place to forget about the city noise, sleep, eat fresh sea food from the local market in Libertad and you will want to come over again and again.
My name is Katya. I am a freelance language teacher. I am a soccer wife and due to my husband's job we have to travel around the world. I like meeting new people and discovering new places. I currently live and work in Quito, Ecuador.
Katya Zambrano purchased this house in 2001
My husband was born in Ecuador and Punta Carnero is the beach where he liked to be being a child. We acquired the property and used it as out vacation getaway for years. And now we are looking forward to share it with someone who appreciated the beauty of the beach and Pacific Ocean.
Spanish Mediterranean architectural style, guayacan furniture, front porch with hammocks and the arched entryway made me fall in love with this place.
The house is plenty large to accomodate lots of people. The one bedroom at the back of the house, furthest from the ocean was intolerable from a heat stand point. After the first miserable night trying to sleep in there we just closed that door and did not use that room at all. It is a beach house and is not as clean as ones we have stayed in in Southern California but nicer than some in Mexico. Showers are good...didn't need to worry about lack of hot water cause you did not want to take a hot shower. I loved that we had lots of clean cold drinking water...but we did have to buy some of our own when we ran out. The beach, ocean and sunsets were remarkable. I loved that we had our own canopy on the beach that we did not have to set up and take down everyday. The nearby town of Salinas (10 min drive away) offers more activity and lots of places to eat. We loved the Texas barbecue restaurant (owned by the neighbors to the North). It was a nice American break. The owner was very nice and did her best to accomodate us and all our needs. Neighbor 2 doors down was our go to person for any problems or issues of which we had none.
Where should i start, first the house was not clean, there's a busy highway between the house and the beach, very noisy starting at 5am. The house was ok but a lot of things advertised did not work such as , no phone , not Internet, hot water did not work. The grill was a joke, never found the laundry facilities, we paid to have the house cleaned as we were there for almost 3 weeks . On the plus side the beach was beautiful without many people. I would not recommend this property as it is way over priced for what you get. We contacted the oners several times with no satisfaction as nothing was repaired. This makes us question why I would use V.R.B.O. in the future as it is obvious this property was not up to a standard that I would expect a world wide organization to up hold. If you are thinking about a rental property make sure it's as advertised
