Legendary location and destination. NO WEDDINGS OR EVENTS. 4 bedrooms, 11 beds, sleeps 13. 2 full bath, 2 half bath, outdoor hot water shower, spacious kitchen, and unmatched visuals. Upstairs and down stairs private covered lanai's with amazing views of the Banzai Pipeline in winter, and docile whale watching in the summer months. With the vast Pacific Ocean out front, caressed by 4 miles of uninterrupted North Shore sand.
37 year North Shore resident. Happily married for the last 27, and we are blessed with 2 awesome daughters
Craig Yester purchased this house in 2007
Because of its Location, Location, Location
Manicured yard, ease of beach access, and the waves that everyone dreams about
Thanks for choosing to vacation here, you folks are always welcome back. We won't bring up the 49ers. Mahalo
We recently spent a week at this home for a combination family reunion/vacation (and a memorial service for a recently lost uncle). There were 10 of us total, and this home away from home proved to be a great fit. While we were not surfers, we did enjoy watching those take on the enormous surf! It made for some great pictures and memories. The location is incredible, and views could not be beat. We used the setting sun and pounding surf as a great backdrop to some awesome family photos. The house had plenty of room for us and provided all we needed for a great vacation.
Location, location, location! (Easy drive to Haleiwa, Turtle Bay, food trucks, snorkeling swimming spots)
Incredible surf (lucky timing) but can't be underestimated -15'-18' waves!
Outdoor hot shower
Plenty of beds
Knives could be sharpened a little, and kitchen could use a few more pots and pans if you plan on cooking for a big group...(,that's all I've got:)
Overall: Would not hesitate in renting this home again!
We had a fantastic time re-connecting with immediate and extended family in this great home. Played a few rounds of golf, swam/snorkeled nearby, rode bikes, got mildly sunburned, found plenty of plate lunches, had a few mai-tai's and gained a few pounds, all the makings of a great vacation! Craig could not have been easier to work with and took good care of us!
Mahalo Craig, appreciate the stay and the Hawaiian Hospitality!
We have been really fortunate and have visited Hawaii over a dozen times. Mostly to Maui and Kauai, but 3 times on Oahu. Last year we stayed on the other side of Haleiwa and loved the lack of people and the beautiful beach. But there was something about Pipline and Sunset beach that intrigues you and we wanted to try it..... it did not disappoint! Location, location, location. This place is unbelievable.
Plenty of space for 8 adults without even using the attached cottage. Private parking for a few cars and walking and biking distance to an incredible bakery (Ted's) lots of food trucks and the market. it took literally 2 minutes to get to Foodland by car.
Walking distance to a great hike (pill box) with awesome views of Pipeline (don't miss this). Grass area in the backyard is perfect and would give you separation from the crowds on the beach (if there were any) and looking at the waves or enjoying a cocktail....or both.
Haleiwa (a great little North Shore town) is a short drive or UBER ride and has plenty of great restaurants. We didn't need anything, but Craig reached out to us at least once to see if we needed anything. you can see from other reviews he is more than willing to lend his knowledge of the North Shore...
We spent our days on the beach directly in front of the house and felt like we had the entire beach to ourselves. The surf was from 4' waves 3 days to 8' a couple of days. So if you don't surf or body board, you won't be swimming every day february and march. But there are plenty of "quieter" beaches a short drive away. I have to tell you, i sat for hours watching the talented kids surfing those big waves. There life lifeguard stands on either end of that stretch of beach for the days you can swim and they are attentive.
If you are looking to relax and unwind you will not find a better location. I cannot wait to return!
Like i said... we don't need lots.. but the house had what we needed... great ceiling fans keep the ocean breezes moving. There is no air conditioning... but we don't come to Hawaii to be in air-conditioning.. the second floor master with the balcony was my early morning coffee hang out... I took my 8AM mandatory Rum drink to the beach and sat there alone and watch the surfers. There were some spices, 2 blenders (just the right number), pans etc in the kitchen. Plenty of towels, shampoo and conditioner. Great trip!! Thanks Craig and Dave!
Wonderful, very private home right on the beach - just like the pictures depict. You definitely get breathtaking views of surfers riding gigantic beautiful curlers all day long. (So not the greatest swimming beach, at least at the time of year we went.) Walking distance to acai bowl truck and only about one mile to the food trucks/grocery store were a nice plus. We cooked almost every meal during our 5 night stay. Fast internet. The owner let us squeeze three cars within the private gate which helped us a ton. Man, the outdoor hot water shower was so nice.
Great experience for our corporate retreat. The home was wonderful - just as described. Craig was great to work with and quick to respond. We will definitely be back!
This location is everything you can ask for in a vacation rental! My Family of 11 have been reserving vacation rentals on Oahu for the past 10 years and this location has been by far the best. We were fortunate to reserve this location during the Vans Triple Crown Comp.
Our family of 11 (6 adults/5 kids) spent a week in the "Oakley House" able to have coffee in the morning watching the Pros shred some epic waves.
This house was like being on the 50 yard line for the SuperBowl! The home was full of amenities and not to mention plenty of options for food and shopping walking or driving a very short distance.
Craig was easy to work with and any questions or tips we asked he was quick to respond.
The Family will forever remember this location, as it won't be the last time we book it again.
Till Next Year Craig, thanks again!

We had a terrific stay in this beautiful house right on the beach on the North Shore. The house is roomy and has just about everything you need for your stay. The 3 bedrooms in the main part of the house were all we needed to sleep 8 people for a week without running into each other all the time.
While the house is terrific, the main appeal is the location. The house sits above the white sand and big waves of the North Shore. We were able to experience both personalities of this beach. In the summer, the waves are relatively small on the North Shore. While I wouldn't recommend small children swim right off this beach (plenty of places 5-10 min away), its fine for water-loving teens and adults. When the surf is relatively quiet, there is decent snorkeling and swimming on many spot along the North Shore - all quite close by. Then, later in our stay, the swells shifted and started coming in from the North, giving us a taste of what Winter on the North Shore is like. The awesome power of the big waves mesmerized all of us. We could have stayed another week and just watched the surf and surfers.
You are Beachfront at the most famous wave in Surfing. Any time of year this is a bucket list destination.
