About Amanda Clements
We were lucky enough to come to Cheddar in 2000 and made it our home. We love being at the foot of the Mendips for walking, mountain biking and general outdoors activities but also close enough to Bristol and Bath for city life too. Blackberry Lodge sits on our 2 acre site where we also have a 4 BED, 2 Bathroom property and a 'sister' lodge to Blackberry known as Strawberry Lodge, all 3 are available to holidaymakers.
Amanda Clements purchased this Cabin in 2011
Why Amanda Clements chose Cheddar
We'd like to think it's now a fantastic romantic base from which to explore and is both peaceful yet really close to whatever form of 'action' you enjoy!
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Perfect UK getaway
Prime location to relax in peace and quiet and to travel between Somerset's biggest landmarks. 10/10
Stayed in Blackberry Lodge. Lovely property, exactly as described and same as pictures. Felt spacious and fixtures and fittings are of good quality and well equipped - iron, ironing board and hairdryer were very much appreciated and just as much was the washing up liquid, tea towels, tea, coffee, sugar and even a fresh pint of milk ! Very clean, nice quite rural setting and great location of lodge to visit Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole, Cheddar Village, etc. as all very close by. Lovely, great big Reservoir very close by for a walk round too and walk to the lovely medieval village of Axbridge. Amanda is areal pleasure to deal with and responds very quickly to any queries and Rachel who met us upon our arrival was lovely too and provided us with a lot of information which we found very useful. Would definitely recommend this property. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay Amanda - such a shame our stay was cut short due to an emergency at home. We hope to book your property again next year. 😊. Many thanks.
Lovely lodge comfortable & fully equipped. Quite location.
The property was in a quiet beautiful location and was in easy walking distance for Cheddar and Axbridge of which we found several choices for food and places of interest to visit. The lodge itself was very well equipped and tastefully furnished.
great quiet place to stay
spotlessly clean throughout
rachel popped in on day of arrival just to check that everything was ok, which was nice
dedicated car parking, great if you are in & out a lot like we were
Enjoy a glass of wine whilst relaxing in front of the woodburner, or venture out and explore Somerset, Bristol and Bath.
Offering delightful holiday accommodation for a couple, Blackberry Lodge enjoys commanding views over Cheddar Gorge in the distance. It benefits from a peaceful semi-rural setting yet is within walking distance of all that Cheddar has to offer.
Cheddar village (less than a mile away) offers plenty of interesting shops and cafes as well as other attractions. Cheddar Gorge, Britain’s largest limestone ravine gouged through the Mendips, is a magnet for climbers, walkers and visitors to the floodlit caves and Cheddar Reservoir is a great place to take a picnic, look out for wildlife and join in activities such as sailing and angling. Axbridge is a charming market town with a medieval square and half-timbered buildings, whilst Wookey Hole attracts many visitors to the showcaves. Wells is England’s smallest city set around a cathedral; Wedmore is a lively town with many individual shops and eateries, Glastonbury is famous for its music festival, spiritual culture and King Arthur legends, and the coastal resorts and magnificent beaches at Weston-super-Mare, Burnham-on-Sea, Berrow and Brean are all within a short drive, as are the cities of Bath and Bristol. Shops, pubs and restaurant less than 1 mile.
