The apartment is on two floors: downstairs is the bedroom (on the right), furnished with a double bed (160 cm), two bedside tables and a big wall wardrobe. The window overlooks a nice quiet garden. Coming from this room, you find the bathroom on the left (with tub, basin and toilet). Walking down the corridor and climbing upstairs you come across the second bedroom, furnished with two single beds (80 cm each), bedside tables and a big wall closet. Leaving the second bedroom and turning right you find the living room, very bright and sunny thanks to its three windows. The day area is furnished with sofa, cabinet with TV set and a small desk, whilst on the left is the dining table, perfect for lunch or dinner. Behind the table is the niche with the kitchen, fully equipped with everything you need and fitted with black stone tiles. The apartment has ash gray carpeted floors.

Public transports The closest subway stop is GLOUCESTER ROAD (Circle Line - Piccadilly Line - District Line).

AreaThe district of Kensington - Chelsea, in east London, is one of the most densely populated of the city. Placed west of the City of Westminster, it’s the beating heart of the modern London, but it still features countless museums, such as the Science Museum, the Natural History Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum), universities, several embassies, the Harrods shopping mall (let their dazzling atmosphere enchant you, especially at Christmas time!), and a lot of residential complexes. Needles to say, many famous artists, writers, musicians and actors have chosen to live right here in this neighborhood.

Great low-key location but lacks basic amenities

Pros: Our flat was in a great location just blocks from Gloucester tube station with direct access to both the Circle and District lines. The area was low-key and not filled with tourists, just like we like it. The house was a great size for our family of four on a quiet street. The flat is a 3 story walk up, but this didn’t bother us.

Cons: The flat was lacking basic amenities like toilet paper and wash clothes. When we called and asked where we could find more, we were told that was our responsibility to purchase. The kitchen was not well stocked, so cooking was a challenge. This forced us to eat out more than we would have liked. The dryer doesn’t work so washing clothes our last night was very promblematic when nothing dried. While the main office provided good customer service, on-site service was poor and rude. Lastly, pictures of the connected park were beautiful and part of the reason we choose this flat, only to find out this park is locked and for residents only.

Overall though we liked the location, we wouldn’t stay here again.

Well-located and quiet, nicely furnished and equipped. Unit and common area freshly refinished.

Very quiet residential block w/in few blocks of two main underground lines and several enjoyable restaurants. Affable mgt very responsive to problem w cable. Need luggage racks, and toilet requires long hold on lever or repeated flushing.

Highly recommended.

Great location! Nice area.

Nice place for 4 people. No cable TV. Fully stocked kitchen and small grocery store nearby. Property manager was great to work with.

ottima esperienza

L'appartamento è esattamente come descritto. si sviluppa su due piani: entrata, camera matrimoniale e bagno,invece al piano di sopra si trovano la camera più piccola con due letti (che però si possono unire), la sala e la cucina.

Entrambe le camere sono molto tranquille e poco rumorose, poichè non guardano la strada ma l'interno. Dalla camera matrimoniale si ha la vista su uno splendido giardino.

La zona è molto tranquilla e residenziale, ma molto vicina a sia Gloucester road (piena di ristoranti e supermarket) che a Old brompton (anch'essa piena di ristoranti). Molto comoda la metropolitana di Gloucester ( meno di 5 min a piedi) dove passano tre linee, ma anche a quella di Earl's court (10 minuti, completamente step-free - comodo se si arriva da Heathrow con bagagli) e South Kensington (10 minuti) perciò consente di spostarsi rapidamente.

L'appartamento nel complesso è ben tenuto,anche se potrebbe essere certamente migliorata la pulizia e l'ordine (soprattutto della cucina). La cucina è comunque ben equipaggiata (kettle, tosta-pane, forno, lavatrice, piccolissima lavastoviglie) e mi ha permesso di cucinare senza problemi. Fornelli a gas e non elettrici.

Mr Alex che si occupa del check-in e del check-out è stato puntuale e collaborativo, ho avuto un problema con lo scaldabagno che pareva non scaldare a sufficienza, ma lo abbiamo risolto subito al telefono.

Ci sono parecchi armadi, quindi non ho avuto problemi di spazio.

Ci sono molte finestre e questo rende l'ambiente molto arioso e illuminato.

L'unico neo è che l'appartamento si trova al secondo piano senza ascensore, ma direi che è la norma a Londra in questo tipo di palazzine a tre piani solamente.

Nel complesso sono molto soddisfatta e mi è spiaciuto venire via!
