The Little Red River is a premier trout fishing tail-water that flows from Greers Ferry Lake. Brown trout are considered native here, since they were stocked in the 1960s and propagate on their own. Rainbows are stocked but thrive here, with fish of 10 pounds and up not uncommon. This is a fly fisher’s paradise with plenty of wade fishing waters. Local fishing guides and outdoor outfitters can provide you with the fishing experience of a lifetime, whether on the river or on the lake.
Greers Ferry Lake is a 30,000 acre, clear water lake from which world record walleye are taken. The lake is a playground for all kinds of water sports. Dam Site Park/Marina is located just eight miles away and provides boats, party barges, tubes, jet skis, and other rentals for enjoying the lake.
The Greers Ferry area is the home of dozens of wintering bald eagles. Across the river, Magness Lake is home to wintering Trumpeter Swans which can be heard on the back patio. For hiking enthusiasts, Sugarloaf Mountain trails are located just five miles away.
JJ’s Riverhouse is the perfect vacation home with plenty to do all year long in this beautiful Ozark Mountain setting.
