The heart of Waikiki and close to everything

  • 5 of 5

I loved the location of this room. The room was big and spacious and the beds very comfortable. Yes, the location was a bit noisy but if you want to be in the heart of Waikiki you have to expect noise.

The room was clean and well maintained.

We walked everywhere around Waikiki the hotel is close to Waikiki Beach the main shopping district and The Zoo and Aquarium.

Vicky was amazing to deal with and very professional.

Thank you for making our holiday fantastic.

Looks are deceiving

  • 1 of 5

It may lol like a hotel room, far from it. First night, we found a big water bug in bathroom. We all wore are sandals the entire time in room. The room is not so clean, lots of things dusty, including walls and vents. AC is not fully sealed, very noisy, you can hear everything outside. Television is not fully operational, remote doesn't work. Safe doesn't work. Room smells old. You get what you pay for.

Owner's Response: I am sorry that you are not satisfied. We do the professional carpet clean after your stay so it took away the old smell. We also improved our cleanness. Thank you

Great place!

  • 4 of 5

My family and I recently came back from vacation and we stayed at this location for a week. Vicky was so nice! She allowed us to check in a little bit early because we flew in a bit earlier than expected. This place offers two comfy beds and basic utensils to cook up simple meals. Fair warning, you will hear the busy streets in the morning but lucky for us we were already out the door by the time it got busy. There is a pool on site and it's beautiful at night! (Pool closes at 10pm) If you don't feel like going out for dinner or cooking, there is a pizza place on site right by the pool. The people that work there are also hospitable. There's paid parking right next door at the Pacific Monarch ($30/day). I would definitely stay here again! Mahalo plenty!

Worth the price

  • 4 of 5

The location is awesome. 2 minute walk to beautiful Waikiki beach and lots of great places to eat and shop within walking distance. Vicky was very helpful when we had a minor problem checking in which was very nice. The front desk was extremely helpful and courteous. The hotel is a bit older, but we knew we were not paying for a 5 star. Some reviews mentioned the noise of the air conditioner and street noise. We found that the air conditioner was fine and by running it we reduced the street noise- not that it was terrible to begin with. If you are looking for a safe, clean place to stay for a a reasonable price this is a great place.

Great Location However VERY VERY Noisy!

  • 3 of 5

We are a family of 4 and stayed at this property last year Nov 2015. It was in a great location, only a very short walk right into the heart of Waikiki which was fabulous. Booking the room through Vicky was really easy and this was a last minute booking we were on a tight time frame and she was really helpful. When we arrived early in the morning Vicky wasn't actually there to meet us like she said she would be and we were a bit confused as reception couldn't check us but after about 30 min Vicky called the reception and they checked us in no problem.

The first thing that immediately struck me as I walked into the room was that the balcony glass doors were filthy and dirty, then I looked at the mirrored wardrobe doors and they were completely smeared with lots of hand marks ALL over them and dirty. Although the bathroom mirror had been wiped it was completely streaked as well! I immediately felt upset and that Id made a bad choice for my family. The room itself was tidy however things had simply been badly wiped around and not moved or cleaned properly in a long long time . The few ornaments were dirty and behind everything was a thick layer of dust/dirt. The lamp between the beds was covered in thick dust and the chairs under the table, covered in bits of dirt, food. . I am not a clean freak at all but I do expect a paid room to be clean and given the cleaning fee we were charged (USD 100 plus tax ) it was obvious this wasn't being paid to any cleaner ever which annoyed me!!! I found the cleaning fluids and cleaned everything. All the furniture is dark wood and really chipped which made it look run down which the photos can't show.

The room is advertised on the 2nd floor however there isn't a first floor so it was just above street level and on a busy road opposite a bus stop and it was INCREDIBLY NOISY! The air conditioner was also so incredibly noisy that we couldn't decide which was worse, the aircon noise or the buses and traffic. One night we tried it without the aircon on to see which was better but we got hot so either way, it was hard to sleep.

Cute old style Hawaiian Hotel however as private guests we were not allowed to use their bus to the shopping center etc which was disappointing. For the price we paid the great location of the room was worth it and for young adults on a cheap trip to Hawaii this is great accommodation however for a family with kids, too noisy and OK.
