Come sink your toes into the warm sand of Pine Point Beach and run head on into the cool surf. From the quiet relaxation of Pine Point to the tourist-friendly town of Old Orchard Beach with its famous pier and Palace Playland (2 miles away) to Portland -- Maine's largest city less than 15 miles away, you’ll have everything you need for a memorable vacation at our cozy cottage.
Our cottage is one of six cottages located in our private condo association, featuring a small living room with a full couch, side chair, coffee table, two folding chairs, and a bench which converts into a table for four (tilt-top table). A flat screen tv mounted above the gas fireplace is complete with basic cable, blue ray DVD, and free WiFi. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, stove, dinnerware, glasses, silverware, utensils, pots and pans, blender, toaster, coffee maker, and microwave. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed and the 2nd bedroom has two twin beds. Linens and towels are provided. New windows in 2015, new shower stall and gas fireplace in 2016, new flooring in 2018.
Outside on our semi-private lawn, we have a gas grill and patio furniture with seating for four. Enjoy a delicious BBQ followed by an evening stroll along the beach while watching the Old Orchard Beach fireworks every Thursday night. We provide a beach cart and gear (chairs, umbrella, pails and shovels, boogie boards) for your convenience and enjoyment.
Our location is within easy walking distance to many local eating establishments including Bayley's Seafood, The Clambake, Garage BBQ, The Bait Shed, Salty Bay, and Rising Tide. It's also convenient to Scarborough Marsh where guided nature walks, canoe tours, and walking / biking trails are offered. Take the local trolley to OOB or you can take the Amtrak Downeaster to Boston or north to Brunswick including multiple stops in between (Freeport and L.L. Bean). Local shopping malls are also nearby. Less than 15 miles north is Portland – named America’s foodiest small town by Bon Appetit - with hundreds of restaurants, an ever-growing number of microbrew pubs and tasting rooms, wine bars, a full array of shops, art galleries and more. About Terry Judkins
Terry has been a regular at Pine Point for over 30 years and finally convinced Bob to dip his feet into the refreshing, cool ocean water at Pine Point. Terry grew up in Maine; Bob in New York. Terry loves the peacefulness and small town feel of Pine Point; Bob prefers the fast-paced, action packed feel of Portland. There was an obvious compromise on the purchase of this piece of property!
Terry Judkins purchased this Cottage in 2014
Why Terry Judkins chose Pine Point
Just steps to the beach and Pine Point's convenient location to Portland. The best of both worlds.
A very cozy and warm stay during the holidays!
Tranquil setting...close to everything
We stayed at Tuckernuck for a girls weekend and loved it! It was, literally, a two minute walk to the beach and an easy drive to Portland, Old Orchard Beach, and the lighthouses. There was great dining, lots of fun, and wonderful memories made! Thanks so much for sharing your cottage by the sea with us!
Quiet, cozy and clean cottage - very nice!
Tuckernuck was perfect for our get-a-way! The cottage had most everything you need whether you want a quiet dinner there or go out. It was very clean and so cozy and comfortable. The beach and a few restaurants are within walking distance. We will definitely visit again. Thank you for an enjoyable place to stay.
Utterly charming cottage!
Beautifully and comfortably appointed, spotless and welcoming. Kind, attentive hosts. The beach is just across the street, and this wee nest is tucked at the back of a small cluster of similar cottages, so it’s peaceful and private. Great area - we can’t wait to return!
Beach Cottage Bliss
What a delightful beach get-away we've just had! Cozy, beautifully-appointed cottage with beach-themed decor. We especially enjoyed the short walk to a gorgeous sandy beach, walking to "Rising Tide" restaurant at the end of King Street and enjoying a sunset dinner on their deck with a waterfront view. Favorite things: being welcomed by Terry, our gracious host; powerful wi-fi connection; soft linens, comforters and throws; well-stocked kitchen cupboards; and closet filled to the brim with board games, beach toys, and folding chairs. A huge thank you to Terry & Bob for creating a relaxing retreat.
Lovely, welcoming, charming!
The owners were so helpful! And patient with us! We finally found it, we had the wrong directions on our gps! What a beautiful, well appointed cottage. Perfect for us 3 ladies. The beach is across the street. Close to many fun places. The windows are new and easy to open and close. There are hooks every where for convenience! They provide beach accessories, towels, bags, chairs...everything you will need. Just bring flip flops and your suit! We loved it!!! Nice area as well.
