Adorable 2 Bedroom Pine Point Cottage - Walk to Beach

Bedrooms 2
Space 580 sq. ft.
Property type cottage
Minimum Stay 2 - 7 nights

About the property

2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, Sleeps 4

Just steps across the street and down a short path will bring you to a 7 mile stretch of clean, uncrowded, uninterrupted and groomed white sand beach. Come sink your toes into the warm sand of Pine Point Beach and run head on into the cool surf. From the quiet relaxation of Pine Point to the tourist-friendly town of Old Orchard Beach with its famous pier and Palace Playland (2 miles away) to Portland, Maine's largest city less than 15 miles away, you’ll have everything you need for a memorable vacation at our cozy cottage.

Our cottage is one of six cottages located in our private condo association, featuring a small living room with a full couch, side chair, coffee table, two folding chairs, and a bench which converts into a table for four (tilt-top table). A flat screen tv mounted above the new gas fireplace is complete with basic cable, blue ray DVD, and free WiFi. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, stove, dinnerware, glasses, silverware, utensils, pots and pans, blender, toaster, coffee maker, and microwave. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed and the 2nd bedroom has two twin beds. Linens and towels are provided. New windows in 2015, new shower stall and gas fireplace in 2016.

Outside on our semi-private lawn, we have a gas grill and patio furniture with seating for four. Enjoy a delicious BBQ followed by an evening stroll along the beach while watching the Old Orchard Beach fireworks every Thursday night. We provide a beach cart and gear (chairs, umbrella, pails and shovels, boogie boards) for your convenience and enjoyment.

Our location is within easy walking distance to many local eating establishments (including freshly caught, succulent Maine lobster and an ice cream shop with a large selection of homemade flavors). It's also convenient to Scarborough Marsh where guided nature walks, canoe tours, and walking / biking trails are offered. Take the local trolley to OOB and hop on the Amtrak Downeaster to Boston or north to Brunswick including multiple stops in between (Freeport and L.L. Bean). Local shopping malls are also nearby. Less than 15 miles north is Portland – named America’s foodiest small town by Bon Appetit - with hundreds of restaurants, an ever-growing number of microbrew pubs and tasting rooms, a full array of shops, art galleries and more. Book your perfect vacation now!

About Terry Judkins

Terry has been a regular at Pine Point for over 30 years and finally convinced Bob to dip his feet into the refreshing, cool ocean water at Pine Point. Terry grew up in Maine; Bob in New York. Terry loves the peacefulness and small town feel of Pine Point; Bob prefers the fast-paced, action packed feel of Portland. There was an obvious compromise on the purchase of this piece of property!

Why Terry Judkins chose Portland & Casco Bay

Just steps to the beach and Pine Point's convenient location to Portland. The best of both worlds.

Cozy little cottage with everything you need

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful weekend away at this little "cottage". It isn't a cottage, but a fully functional home with literally everything you need/want. The owners are SO nice and welcoming and even go the extra mile to provide us a few wedding venues to look at and lunch/dinner spots to try. The clean and warm home (we drove from central Mass in a gross rain storm) greeted us with a bottle of wine the sweetest welcome note. The house is the perfect size for 4 people to stay. It isn't huge, but fit 4 people comfortably. The whole house was clean, and plenty of extras were in the house, plenty of blankets, pillows, games to play, etc. We would love to come back up to Maine (our happy place) and we will definitely be staying at this rental! Thanks again Terry! ~Liz and Mark~

Owner's Response: Thanks for your kind review! Unfortunately, you ended up coming to Maine on one of the rainiest weekends we've had in a long time. We're happy the games came in handy. So pleased you enjoyed your stay despite the less-than-perfect weather. We'd love to have you come back another time. As you know, there's lots to keep you content and busy in this part of Maine. Glad it's your happy place!!

Adorable Beach Cottage in Pine Point, Maine

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I just spent a wonderful weekend in Pine Point, Maine. We were lucky enough to have reserved Terry Judkin's sweet cottage, which is steps from the most beautiful part of a 7 mile beach. The two-bedroom cottage is beautifully decorated in shades of blue, white, brown, and orange be a constant reminder its tenants of the ocean nearby. With walls that are decorated in the coastal theme as well, it is a warm, relaxing place, just right for a beach vacation. Terry is careful to provide all of the necessary items for cooking, along with beautiful, soft linens and towels. There was even a surprise waiting when we arrived that totally enhanced our first evening. We couldn't have asked for a more attentive, helpful host. I'd recommend Tuckernuck to anyone visiting Pine Point. We definitely plan to return soon and often.

Sweet little property. Great owners!

  • 5 of 5

This owner really knows how to bring out the welcome mat. The personal touches included in the rental were wonderful and really made us feel right at home. Thank you so much Terry for such a great first visit to Maine. We had a truly wonderful time visiting and the beach at Scarborough was just amazing. We hit everything on our wish list for this trip thanks to your wonderful recommendations. We look forward to coming back soon and staying with you again. We loved the lobster roll at "Bite Into Maine" as well as the awesome views of the lighthouse there. We also tried a lobster roll in Kennebunkport, Maine on our way out of town. Delicious! We tried many of the breweries that you recommended! Thanks for all of your help but most of all thank you for being an awesome hostess!

Clean, cozy, convenient cottage '

Wow- we just loved Tuckernuck cottage!

The place is just as pictured- nicely decorated and impeccably clean. A nice bottle of wine, a few water bottles and a welcoming card greeted us upon arrival. Comfy sofa with pillows and fuzzy blankets to take the chill off. Also a gas fireplace for warmth and ambiance. We loved the location! Just a very short walk to the beach. Loved going for morning walks and relaxing afternoons with a book. We explored Biddeford Pool and Old orchard beach and enjoyed great food in Portland. Highly recommend Walters for a high quality dinner and Grittys for a great local pub. The owner was very easy to communicate with. Unfortunately we did not get to meet face to face. Maybe next time!

Comfortable and relaxing home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

From the moment Terry greeted us and introduced us to her cottage, Tuckernuck, we felt welcomed and at home. The location was perfect for us, with it's proximity to Portland as well as the easy access to the Pine Point beach and Old Orchard Beach. The welcome basket was much appreciated and made our stay that much more enjoyable. We will certainly rebook on future stays if it is available!

Than you!
