Nice and clean!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. Everything was very clean and comfortable. You are close to everything, the beach, recreation park, mountain and running trails, hiking trails, places to eat and more. I would highly recommend this rental.

Fun experience

  • 4 of 5

We had a nice time . Be aware that the Bears can roam the area. My eldest daughter, a young adult, wanted to explore the premises but had to wait until the bear left in order to do so.

Other than that , it was a good experience .

King's Beach vacation

  • 5 of 5

Accommodations were clean and well equipped for meals, relaxation on the decks, and playing board games. Everyone had a great time and asked if we could come back again next year.

Great location...basic place that needs improvement in housekeeping

  • 2 of 5

This is the first time I have written a review, but I feel compelled to share my recent experience. We stayed 4 nights/5 days which is shorter than our usual time spent in Tahoe. I have stayed in this complex before and by far this unit has been the most basic. The beds in the master bedroom and adjacent bedroom are not comfortable and the bedding has seen better days. The unit has all the basic amenities set up for basic cooking which was a plus, but the coffee machine left on the counter for use really should have been disposed of. The coffee overflowed and did not dispense the water properly to make a cup of coffee. I ended up buying a single pour coffee filter to avoid any further mess and to just have a good cup of coffee. It wasn't until later that I discovered that there was a brand new coffee pot stored in high cabinet above the refrigerator. The following remarks are specific to who VACASA hires to clean the unit. I did speak to a representative regarding the issue, but it's not really something you want to have to deal with while on vacation. Of all the years of renting homes, I have never walked into a unit with any laundry left behind (2 full loads), linens left on bed and bathrooms not properly prepared with linens. No guest should ever have to walk into a unit that is not ready. Aside from the laundry left behind undone, the vent for the hood above the stove appeared to have not been cleaned for a long time. Every morning, I would clean grease dripped on to the stove top. There were finger prints left on the sliding glass door upstairs, and the bunk beds in the loft were dusty and hairy. I also found hair on towels hung in the bathroom upstairs. If you would like to stay in a basic unit with uncomfortable beds with poor housekeeping this would be it.

About Vacasa, CA - Lake Tahoe Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
