Great location. Lovely apartment.

  • 4 of 5

Beautiful apartment with all the amenities and in good walking distance to many sites, shops and the metro station. The apartment was clean and as others have suggested, a second set of keys would have been helpful given the security set up with the outside gate. My only complaint is that after we were greeted at the location by the owner's friend a Giovanni, we had no further response to any of our queries. We were unsure right up until the cleaning lady showed up, as to how we closed up and where to leave the keys. Depending on the feedback regarding the lack if communication, we would recommend this location. Thank you.

Great property in good location

  • 4 of 5

The apartment is very nice and well appointed, and fairly well maintained - not perfect but overall very happy with it. Close to the Vatican and an easy walk to some of Rome's other famous sites. We found it very suitable for two couples and my Mom. With three bedrooms and three baths, you can't beat the value for your money versus a hotel. We were only there a couple of nights so not a whole lot of time to evaluate thoroughly.

We never did see the host Marica - we had a brief chat with the manager upon arrival who explained a few things. The A/C units did not function in the bedrooms at the time we were there, but it was not real hot during our stay, so that wasn't too much of an issue. There were two new A/C units in the living areas which helped keep the air temp reasonable.

Overall would recommend this property.

A fantastic break

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful short stay in Rome. The apartment was clean and spacious, very relaxing after the bustle of the City. Marica was immensely helpful, responding to requests for help with taxis and luggage quickly, and offering practical solutions. We would return immediately if we could. As others have mentioned, a second key would have been useful.

Spacious, comfortable and great location!!!

  • 5 of 5

We rented this apartment for our family of six and found it to be amazingly spacious, very comfortable and clean, and a great location from which we could easily get to the Vatican (which was great during Holy Week), to the Metro stop at Ottaviano (2 min walk), and from which we could very easily catch cabs from Piazza Risorgimento (5-7 min walk) to get to the Colosseum, the Forum, etc.

We also found it to be a great location from which we could go on runs, including along the river and in Borghese Gardens (about 1 mile away).

After spending the prior week in hotels in Venice and Florence, we really enjoyed having tons of extra space and a very comfortable place that felt like home. There are great, out of the way, non-tourist restaurants immediately across the street, and we really enjoyed Colibri, La Luma and Osteria delle Comari in particular. The area felt very safe to us and we were very comfortable walking around both day and night. Be sure to get gelato at Oldbridge - very good!

On top of the great accommodations, we can't say enough about the manager, Marcia - she was incredibly helpful before and during the trip! Very quick to respond to any questions, whether it was about transportation, restaurants or shopping recommendations - she was awesome!

We would strongly recommend this apartment to anyone with a larger group, looking for a very nice place at a very good value, with top notch management!

Our only bit of feedback - a second set of keys would have been nice at times :-)

Grab this apartment if you can!

  • 5 of 5

After the Paris attacks we briefly considered canceling our trip to Rome. However we kept looking at the photos of this beautiful apartment, reading the reviews, and decided we would never find anything nicer. We were not disappointed!

Get ready for a fantastic night's sleep on beds nicer than your own, and the best meal in Rome right outside your door at Il Colibri. Do not even consider staying anywhere else.

This review is as much for the restaurant as it is for Marcia's lovely and comfortable apartment. Go out and enjoy touring the city, but dine every night in the family owned business that makes you feel like you are part of their family.

What could be better?

Beautiful apartment and close to the Vatican

  • 5 of 5

We are a group of five staying in this beautiful and well-maintained 3 bedroom apartment for 6 days. Location is convenient with less than 10 minutes’ walk to the metro and 15 minutes to the Vatican. We went to the Vatican before 8:30am to avoid the crowd and walked up to the top of the dome to see the fantastic panoramic view of Rome. We also walked to Piazza Navona and the Pantheon. For Spanish steps and Coliseum and further to Tivoli, we took the metro and changed bus to Tivoli. A local market, convenience stores and a number of good restaurants are nearby to the apartment. Thanks Giovanni for the advice of the restaurants of great pasta. Also like to thank Marica for her quick response to our queries and her help to arrange car transfer from the train station and to the airport.

We highly recommend this apartment and we will definitely stay in this apartment again next time in Rome.
