Cozy little place - perfect for PSU weekend for four!
Minutes drive to grocery, downtown, liquor stores. Super communicative owners. Nice and neat inside. PSU EVERYTHING inside the house. We stayed on a chilly weekend, and the house heated up perfectly. Dining/living rooms & back patio good for hosting small group of friends. Very quiet neighborhood (didn't hear any student parties, despite it being a game weekend when we visited). Nothing fancy, but cute and homey. Renters should bring their own soap/shampoo and washcloths. But lots of towels are provided. No secrets can be kept in the house :) - acoustics between rooms and floors are not what you'd call soundproof. Kitchen nicely stocked with plates/glassware etc. Oven/stove/coffee maker worked great. Strong WiFi.
Not the Ritz, but neither is the price
This cute cottage is well located and well equipped. It suffers from some neglected maintenance issues, but the owner is very responsive, and I suspect these issues will be fixed.
Thanks again for staying with us and we are already following up with these few issues and apologize for any inconvenience. We try to make guests feel welcome and at home, which is why we take feedback as a means to improve. Thanks again.
Loved the Cozy PSU Cottage
The cottage was perfect for our weekend getaway to State College. Well-equipped, comfortable, as described in listing, clean, no hassle getting in and out of the property. We ended up not walking to campus or downtown, but it seemed like it would have been an easy trip. Close to grocery store and playground.
An awesome weekend in State College
The owners were very flexible and easy to work with. The house is old and modest, but in a nice, safe neighborhood close to many conveniences. The house was also very clean and well stocked with essential kitchen items that are nice to have. The rate charged may be a little excessive based on the house only having one very small bathroom on the second floor. I could see where that could be an issue if elderly people were part of the rental party. All over, a very positive experience and PSU won the game on the final play! Go Lions!
Excellent Location for our Alumni Girls Weekend
We stayed at Erin's house this past weekend for the Penn State vs. Temple game. It was the perfect location for a bunch of older alumni ladies looking to enjoy the town but also have a place to relax and recover in between all the tailgating and visiting the old haunts. The house was the perfect size for our group and the porch and garden were amazing spots to sit back and drink our coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening. We were happy to be able to walk to town for dinner, drinks, and dancing and it was very easy to book and Uber to get us over to the stadium.
Erin was super accommodating and helpful when planning check-in and the place was clean and welcoming for guests. I've already recommended this place to all of my Penn State friends looking to enjoy a weekend in State College and will definitely be booking another weekend next season.
The house was great for our weekend reunion trip to Penn State. There was more than enough space for our group of 4 adults and dog. The owner was great to work with and very accommodating.
