About mike white
We are Ann and Mike, live in Tampa, Fl and enjoy the 'Peaceful Place' about 4 times a year.
mike white purchased this Chalet in 2005
Why mike white chose Chalet Village
We didn't intend to buy a house, but we had been coming to the Gatlinburg area once a year for many years. We especially loved the National Forest and the quaint town. We took one look at the view of 'Peaceful Place' and knew that we were hooked. It looks straight out at Mt. LeConte which we had hiked many times in the past. The view can't be beaten!
What makes this Chalet unique
This home has the amazing view, great hot tub, fireplace, laundry, Jacuzzis, king beds, everything you could want in a get-away. The kitchen is well equipped.....and your enjoyment is very important to us!

Views can't be beat
Its UP in the Smokey's , neighbors had a Bear come walk on his rail and then sit on our grass by the deck right before we got there. Breaks your heart to see all the fire damage from 3 yrs ago , but none around this Condo, just a beautiful view, Hot tub could be a lil warmer, & TV a lil bigger, lot of dust bunnies on fake plants, & picture frames , popcorn and crumbs under Couch when we moved to open it, drain in Master bath sink doesn't drain and stopper is gross when you pull it out, Had to use plunger in master toilet just for toilet paper. Don't think your getting your 80 dollars worth in cleaning, Would stay again thou, owner was the best ever to work with and Condo Veiw's can't be beat. 4 Stars
Property had beautiful views and seeing a mama bear with her 4 cubs made it even better!!
This chalet is a great little getaway that’s easy to live in. The deck and outdoor hot tub are perfectly situated for views of the mountains. We did not use the indoor hot tub but it faces the same direction. We would definitely stay here again.
Location is so good
Home is very clean and view is awesome, outside bath tub is good. We spotted a bear near home.
Only disappointment is no option to see sunrise and sunset from patio.
the cabin is nice and thr view is breathtakingly beautiful. Loved the hot tub. would give a five star but the only place to watch tv was in the guest bedroom. all in all a great place to stay. The view is amazing.
We have 3 perfectly good flat screened tv's and a very good wifi system and cable tv. This particular guest had difficulty getting the tv on the right channel.
The chalet has perfect view of the smokey mountain and two hot tubs (indoor and outdoor). It also has plenty of cookwares for cooking and grilling. The chalet is very clean and tidy.
However, there are also some weakness: one of the bedroom only has a bath tub and does not have a shower head. The furnitures are a little old and not working well. The beds are too soft, at least to us.
This cabin is our family cabin. We take good care of it, much like you do your family home. It has a new paint job, new roof, some new flooring, new bathroom sinks, a new hot tub, 2 indoor jacuzzis. The beds are great--look at the other reviews. This cabin is really comfortable....and has the best views anywhere. We don't claim perfection, but we really try.
This cabin is located just a few blocks from the Ober Gatlinburg recreational facility. This is a snow skiing mecca in the winter, but provides ice skating and lots of fun activities year-round. There is an enclosed sky lift that will take you downtown and back with beautiful views of the area. You will not want to miss the Motor Nature Trail, off of which are many good hiking trails. The serious hiker should consider taking at least part of the Alum bluff cave trail going part way or all the way to the top of Mt. LeConte. An easier trail would be to hike to Laurel Falls. Be sure to see the Visitor Center at the South end of Gatlinburg. And a few hours spent in Cades Cove always promises animal sightings and the beauty of a quiet valley. This chalet is located only a few blocks from an entrance, however obscure, to a lovely hiking trail through the Great Smoky Mountain Natl Park. The entrance is off of St Moritz, several blocks up the hill from this cabin. Beyond the great views of this cabin is the close proximity of the National Forest; you are always just a few minutes from the peace and beauty of the forest.
