Great cabin for multiple families

  • 5 of 5

Our family, comprised of 3 separate families, loved this cabin. We had 5 kids and 6 adults and we had plenty of room for everyone. The kids and adults all loved the game room downstairs! The tv's in every room and free wi-fi was a great bonus. The location was secluded enough to enjoy the peacefulness of the mountains but still close enough to the attractions on the strip and the National Park to get out and explore daily. We cooked a full Thanksgiving dinner in this cabin and had everything we needed to cook. There were tons of pots, pans, plates, cups and silverware. We would definitely consider booking this cabin again if we ever came back to Pigeon Forge.

Awesome view/stay

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at this property before so we obviously liked it. Is an awesome place for the large family group, especially with kids. Hot tubs needed cleaning, but owner made sure it was done quickly. Kitchen well stocked with cooking utensils/dishes, etc, multiple tv's, decor is very homey. Love the log bed frames, dining table, and stair rails. Is very private. Plenty to do in this cabin even if you don't want to get out to Pigeon Forge or Cade's Cove. Definitely consider again.

Great, Non-commercial, Real family cabin with a view.

  • 5 of 5

Our extended family is all over the country and we gathered in Pigeon Forge for a small family reunion for something different this year. Five years ago we had it down where my family is from, Pensacola, Fl. This time my wife and I, our 3 kids and a daughter-in-law, all around collage age and a little more, were looking forward to getting up in some mountains.

Two of my sisters booked with VRBO and shared their sites with the rest of us. I saw their cabins and did not want to look out my window and see a cabin right next door or even 50 feet from me, so I kept looking, then this one popped up. I shared the site with my little sister, and she liked what she saw. Her family and mine all stayed here comfortably, she has 4, I have 6, no little ones. When I shared the site with my 3 / 4 kids they were excited just seeing the pictures, so I was a "cool Dad".

If you really want to do the "Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg" thing and not be exposed to so much of the touristy junk and get a REAL feeling of being in the mountains, this is the cabin. Although, with the big screen TV's and wifi you can still maybe get the "home" feeling.

The kitchen was great area to cook and chat with folks, kinda like at some of our homes. The water pressure and hot water was awesome, (two hot water heaters) which by the way, did not have the sulfur stink some well water can have. Modern fridge, great working stove and microwave. All the utensils, silverware, and counter space were clean and real usable. Oh and the view, outstanding, especially right after a rain or when the clouds rolled over the mountains.

We all loved the cabin and the area. A nice valley with homes and farms mixed, a great place. Gas station close by, Dollar General for small stuff and some antique stores for browsing.

If you have a small or lowerd car, the drive way may be a bit of a challenge. For safety, make sure your emergency brake is working and remember how to park on a hill. There can be room for two cars on what I call the "half way point" of the drive way, a nice large concrete pad, newly poured. Remember, this cabin is in some foot hills so the driveway will reflect that.

If you want to go to Gatlinburg and would like to avoid the "Main Drag" of Pigeon Forge, there is a nice alternate route from this cabin.

Overall, we would re-book this cabin in a heartbeat!! Thank you Kevin!

Amazing View!

  • 5 of 5

I have to say, after reading some of the reviews.... I think those people need to stay at the Holiday Inn. This place is breathtaking! It is a cabin, so yes there are a few bugs, etc... Nothing a shoe doesn't fix. This place is very clean, he gives you plenty of glasses, silverware, pots, pans, and so on. My 2 kids and I stayed here and absolutely loved it. There is so much to do just in the cabin. Response time to my questions was great. Service was great. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone that is looking for a partially secluded, beautiful place to go!

Enjoyable Cabin

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time in this cabin. It is spacious and comfortable for our family. There was enough linen, beds were comfortable, sheets smelled clean. I would probably come back again. Kitchen was well stocked and overall it was great. Kids had a great time playing in the game room. Hockey table needs some repair but it was usable. We definitely enjoyed our stay.
