About Property Manager

I am from Detroit and moved to the desert of Arizona in 1969. To escape this heat my husband and I built a cabin in Pinetop AZ. Because it was so often rented out we decided to build another so we'd have a place to stay. The first was in the heart of Pinetop so we built this one out in the middle of the National Forest. It has a totally different feel and atmosphere. Both are equally enjoyable but for different reasons.

Property Manager purchased this cabin in 2011

Another perfect vacation

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at Mary's lovely home twice in the past year and it is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the peace the quiet. The home has everything you need for a relaxing vacation: quiet location, plenty of room, comfortable furniture, cozy fireplace, and two wonderful decks to sit on. The house also comes equipped with all your kitchen needs and creature comforts should you need a TV. The property is close to town (about a 10 minute drive) but also tucked back in the pines so it feels like a true hideaway. I would highly recommend this property for both summer or winter if you need to escape your busy life.

Owner's Response: It's always so nice to have return guests because it tells me I've succeeded in my goal to please others with the best experience possible. Glad you were able to celebrate the Holidays wrapped in the comfort of the pines & warmth of the fireplace. Sorry Mother Nature didn't cooperate with a blanket of white snow to make it the ultimate Holiday. Look forward to your next visit. Have a wonderful healthy New Year!

A beautiful home in the woods...

  • 5 of 5

The vacation home was far beyond our expectations. The care in decorating was evident in all parts of the house, and we loved all of the thoughtful and whimsical country cabin decorations. All of the things that you would need in your own house were there as well. The firewood was stacked by the fireplace with care, as well as extra firewood in the garage. I really enjoyed the kitchen with ample utensils, pots and pan‘s, bowls, plates, dishes, glasses, etc.. The beds in each of the rooms were very comfortable and had access to their own porch for reading, or just enjoying the nature. We had fun using the supplied peanuts for feeding in the Bluejays in the morning. If I had any questions, The owner Mary was always available for me and made sure that everything was perfect. The only thing I could say that was not perfect is, for a couple days we had no Internet wireless. No fault of the owner of the property I would have to say though. I don’t think anybody would be disappointed in this beautiful home in the forest. Thank you Mary for the wonderful experience, and all that you did to accommodate us. You should post more pictures of the INSIDE of your home it’s so beautiful.

Lovely getaway in Pinetop!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for a week. We came up to do some hiking, mt biking and leaf-peeping. Sky-Hi Retreat was an amazing home to stay in. It had everything you could possibly want in the kitchen and the decorations throughout give it such a "mountain getaway" feel! We loved having the blue-jays and squirrels come and say good morning and we even heard elk bugeling in the mornings. We would definitely come back and stay here in the future!
