About Property Manager

I am from Detroit and moved to the desert of Arizona in 1969. To escape this heat my husband and I built a cabin in Pinetop AZ. Because it was so often rented out we decided to build another so we'd have a place to stay. The first was in the heart of Pinetop so we built this one out in the middle of the National Forest. It has a totally different feel and atmosphere. Both are equally enjoyable but for different reasons.

Property Manager purchased this cabin in 2011

Why Property Manager chose Pinetop-Lakeside

If you like charm and quiet this is the place for you!

The perfect place to kick back and relax

  • 5 of 5

Everything about this place is top notch, from the location (10 minutes from Pinetop on a very quiet road adjacent to a national forest) to the accommodations (big comfortable beds, relaxing front porch, full kitchen, cozy living room). It is a great place to get away, yet still have the amenities of wi-fi and satellite tv. Have to admit, between walks, sleeping and reading, we didn't watch much tv. Everything in the place echoes the forest, from the silverware with pine cone accents and plates with moose profiles to the carved wood bears and ducks throughout the cabin. The manager is great...kept me informed about the reservations and gave us clear directions on how to get there and get the cabin up and running (and closed down when we left). It was a welcome relief from the heat of Phoenix...about 30 degrees difference. This place (and Mary, the manager) is a real gem. Hope to be able to come up next year for a longer stay.

A slice of heaven

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful home with everything you could need. The decor is charming and I still think Mary is an interior decorator tho she denies it. The house is at the end of a road facing forest. It is so quiet and peaceful. We really enjoyed feeding the squirrels and stellar blue jays. Mary checked in to make sure we had everything we needed which wasn't necessary. She is a delightful woman to work with and we hope to come back. I am recommending this home to my mother to come use. You wont be disappointed.

I want for nothing when I am there and the peaceful area is perfect to get away from the city! Mary is always so kind and helpful and even checks on me while I am there to make sure all is well. Cozy Cabin - feels like home!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here at the beginning of April and we have nothing but praise for this place. It is a little bit of heaven, tucked away from the hustle and bustle. The trees and views from the front porch.....breath taking! All I can say is "Ahhhhhh!" What a great place to relax. This cabin is maintained by one of the nicest ladies on the planet! Mary has everything you will need for your stay in this lovely place...even the kitchen sink! Pinetop/Lakeside has become the one place we like to escape to. The cabin has a wood-burning fireplace for those cold evenings, ceiling fans in the bedrooms for the summer, and a security screen on the front door to allow those pine breezes to come in and cool you. There are 2 separate bedrooms with comfy beds. A jack and jill bathroom (double sinks) and tub/shower between the two rooms serves you well along with a 1/2 bath off the main kitchen/dining area. Everything you need is provided for cooking.....right down to the paper towels and napkins. Mary has thought of everything. If you don't feel like cooking there are some great places to eat in town, just a short drive away. Antique stores, horse back riding and lots of family activities are close by too. Okay, I fear this place will become too popular if I say any more. Check it out for yourself. You will be glad you did.

Owner's Response: I am so thrilled you enjoyed it that much! It makes me happy that I succeeded in giving it the cozy comfortable feel I was striving for. It has the perfect combination of a relaxing atmosphere, which some people go north to enjoy, while at the same time having close proximity to everything Pinetop has to offer.....It can't be beat! Come back anytime. I'll always save a spot for you!
