Although Bend grew because of skiing and winter sports, there is much to do in spring and summer. Whether your passion is hiking, fishing, mountain biking, golfing, shopping, or just drinking beer, you can do it in and near Bend. Central Oregon is home to some of the state's best golf courses. Rivers mean rafting and fishing. Or you can find a trail, there are some right next to the Knotty Pine, and explore it by foot or bike.

Bend has a great downtown for strolling, shopping, and eating. Vvisit local shops and restaurants on the historic streets. You'll find local Bend jewelers, artisans, and crafts people, antiques, interesting home decor, ski and beach wear, and more. Enjoy a spa experience at Anjou Spa and feel pampered. Savor the thin chewy crust at Pizza Mondo, or, for a full meal try one of our favorites Zydeco or the Blacksmith. Right next to downtown, visit the Deschutes Historic Museum and learn more of Bend's history.

'Best 'Beer City' in America'

Deschutes Brewery is where it all began and you can visit their hot spot downtown before starting a tour of Bend's many breweries (yes, there are tours). We also love Cascade Lakes Brewing- in addition to great beer, their food is yummy! 'On a per-capita basis Bend has one of the nation’s highest concentrations of breweries. The more than 25 breweries located in and around Bend give residents easy access to high-quality, locally made beer. It's factors like these that make Bend the best beer city in America and one of our Top 100 Best Places to Live.' -Livability.com, 2014

Bend Cabin Charm

The Knotty Pine is newly remodeled and will provide a comfortable and fun place to gather with family and friends. You won't find a more unique, comfortable, home as centrally located. In a quiet residential neighborhood at the foot of Pilot Butte State Park, the midcentury knotty pine walls and ceilings give the home it's name and a warm, cozy feeling. New flooring throughout the house, new linens, and new kitchen appliances make this a clean and attractive space. The retro Malm gas fireplace provides ambience, and the game room features the classics for a fun evening in. Every day feels like a holiday in this quaint Bend family home. Part of the original farm that became Bend's first subdivision.

Ever stayed at a house where your BBQ was the show for the neighborhood? Where your dog kept wanting to go into the neighbor's yard? Not at The Knotty Pine. A tall fence creates privacy around the entire property for a little sanctuary in the middle of town. Grassy yards for the kids and dog to play while you sit on the deck. Relax. Later, there's the hot tub.

Your Dog's Favorite Place

Your dog will be safe here and have a huge fenced yard to run around in. For extra security, there is another fenced yard in back so you can be sure your dog has a safe place to play. We help by providing a new ball! Also, a dog bed, blankets, a water bowl, and even a jar of treats! There are great places nearby to walk your best friend and we even provide those little bags to help you be a good neighbor. Easily cleanable floors throughout the home.

Central to Everything

Get anywhere you need to go from Bend's centrally located Midtown neighborhood. Located in Midtown, the home is centrally located with easy access to downtown, Mt. Bachelor, Eastside retirement centers, shopping, and recreation. Easy walking to grocery, coffee, restaurants, convenience store, hiking, and Juniper Park and Recreation Center. This convenient location puts downtown a mile away, Old Mill district 2 miles away, and great skiing just 20 miles up the hill. With a park-and-ride station 7 blocks down the street, you can be up at the mountain in no time. The Midtown area is centrally located where highways 20 and 97 come together. Locals know Midtown as the most centrally located family neighborhood.

It's Our Nature

Whether it's the starry view of Pilot Butte from the hot tub, or morning coffee with the birds that make their home in the front yard trees, this is a place to appreciate nature. Hike up Pilot Butte to watch the sunset with a spectacular mountain view. The Cascade Lakes loop is a 66 mile route where in the summer, you can stop off at one of many little lakes to enjoy mountain views, or rent a canoe for the afternoon. It's a short morning trip down South 97 to the High Desert Museum, Newberry National Volcanic Monument, or Fort Rock. You can do Crate Lake as a day trip from Bend. There are plenty of local guides, tours, and shops to rent equipment.

Local Owner Managed

We can take of this home because we use it too, usually we are just a few minutes away. We guarantee a clean home, fresh linens and towels, and a well-maintained yard and hot tub. We keep an emergency stash of food and water on hand just in case. We also provide toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, laundry soap, hand soap, shampoo, and lotion.

The kitchen should have every type of pot, pan, utensil, dish, or plate you need. All brand new. There is a lockable storage shed for your gear. There is a brand new propane grill and a charcoal BBQ.

Our calendar is always updated, if it shows available, feel free to book online! Or contact us for any questions or to find out what's happening in Bend during your stay!

Very nice place as advertised! Great for families w pets

  • 5 of 5

We very much enjoyed our stay. The Home was clean and inviting. We brought dog beds (blankets) which was good as we didn't find any in the home - maybe we just didn't look hard enough. Lots of linens and towels and a great kitchen. Hot tub was great in the evening. We would definitely stay again!
