Living here, there, and everywhere.
Love Philadelphia and happy to share our Victorian Gem.
I enjoy flea markets, gardening and travel.
Erin Leete purchased this apartment in 2003
Ideal for parents visiting students, short term students, medical residents, and other travelers interested in West Philadelphia, University City and Powelton Village. On the cusp of the hustle bustle just removed enough that you enjoy a tree lined block with friendly neighbors and nice atmosphere.
Much loved old Victorian, restored bit by bit.
We enjoyed our 2-month stay with Erin. The area is quiet and safe with Drexel campus security patrol. It's very easy to walk to Penn and Whole Foods across the river. There are cafes and many food places around. Erin's apartment is comfortable and very well equipped, suitable for short or long stays.
Very safe neighborhood. Nearby Drexel University security staff often patrolling. But few people out at night.
Spacious private third floor apartment is ideal. Kitchen makes it possible to save on meals.
House is very quiet as is the location for being near a University. But expecting complete silence would be unrealistic.
Only downside is the lack of air conditioning. Very warm in the spring and summer on the third floor which can be uncomfortable.
Would stay there again.
Quiet, convenient location. The host was very accommodating and pleasant. The place is roomy and bright. Highly recommended!
Great place, great location! Our host, Erin, was welcoming and available for anything we needed. We would definitely stay there again!
Located in the university district, bus out the front door, train is 7 blocks away.
Plenty of restaurants with in walking distance or catch any public transportation going downtown for more food choices. I found some awesome food trucks within all parts of the city as well as 8 blocks from the apartment too.
Apartment is clean, stocked with all you would need to feel like home. I used a rental car (street parking) to explore outside the city and used public transportation to go downtown.
The apartment is very affordable compared to expensive downtown hotels plus you can cook your own meals with Whole Foods easy to locate through mobile devices and Reading Market has farmers market options for groceries too.
Owner welcomes you, provides local info about things to do shows the apartment gives their emergency contact info, hands over the keys and on check-out day you drop the keys in the mail slot. Owner also had coffee, filters and milk in the fridge upon our arrival.
Big city with all kinds of things to do, I went to a Mets @ Phillies game, visited the Philadelphia Magic Garden and
Sedgley Woods Disc Golf Course is within 3 miles if you are traveling with your disc bag. By the way, the Liberty Bell has a crack in it.
I would stay here again as it has all the comforts of home.
