About Nicole

My husband and both grew up in the Midwest. I have always been a beach person...he a snow skiing mountain lover. Needless to say, we needed a place to get away from the monotonous, cold midwest winters. We had been coming to Park City for winter ski vacations since we met, so it seemed the obvious place to purchase for us. After our condo purchase our yearly trips became almost monthly in the winter, then we discovered Park City summers...the relaxing atmosphere, miles upon miles of trails, friendly locals and lack of crowds just can't be beat. Please try Park City in the 'off' months, it is beautiful. But I digress. We used our condo solely for personal use until now (1/2015). We have since moved to Utah and enjoy it's Nature year round without the airline miles!

Nicole purchased this condo in 2011

Why Nicole chose Utah

We chose this property mainly because of its awesome views. When I'm in the mountains, I want to SEE the mountains. We have views of the Rail Trail and Park City Mountain Resort. It also had bunk beds which are ideal for my 2 little ones. It's small so no time is spent cleaning when I could be skiing and hiking, but it has all the amenities one would want. Free transportation on bus outside our door and walking distance to awesome restaurants or even downtown Main St. Park City.

Comfortable and Convenient

  • 5 of 5

Nicole is awesome, responsive, and a pleasure to rent from. All beds and the fold-out are comfortable. There are bus stops for three different routes right at the condo building, taking you to Main Street or any of the ski resorts. I enjoyed my stay!

Great location with plenty of beds

  • 4 of 5

The location for skiing or snowboarding was perfect! Nicole was very responsive and made the check in and out very easy! The place was in great condition and having the bunk beds was awesome for everyone having a bed to sleep in! Only things that could be improved is the bathroom door and wifi was pretty spotty but overall great stay and would stay here again!

Would definately return

  • 5 of 5

The condo was clean with a nice distribution of space, and decent furnishings. Condo building is well maintained. The owner was accommodating and responsive. Plenty of linens but would be nice to have more blankets and a couple more large coffee/cocoa mugs. While a bit removed from things, the condo is well-served by bus shuttles which stop directly in front of the complex- it is only a 15 min. ride to Main Street in town or the Park City Mountain for skiing. A grocery store, Fresh market, is on the bus route too, so overall the location was convenient for our needs. Thanks Nicole- we will be back!

Great location, bright clean apartment with all conveniences. Nicole very helpful at dealing with a

  • 4 of 5

The apartment is a good sized one bedroom and our children were happy with the bunks (they might not suit all children though as they are immediately adjacent to bathroom so consider your family's preferences before booking). The place was well furnished and kitchen well equipped.

It can be a bit noisy being located on the corner and there isn't much insulation from upstairs which appeared to be occupied by people who liked to walk around all night!

Easy access to bus although there doesn't appear to be any dowstairs ski storage so be prepared to carry your gear in and out each day.

Nicole was very responsive when we had a plumbing issue and had it fixed by the time we finished skiing.

We enjoyed our stay and would return.

Very convenient, has everything you need

  • 5 of 5

Nicole was very responsive and helpful. The condo was clean and very comfortable, with a fully stocked kitchen complete with fancy hot chocolate - perfect for a night in front of the gas fire! The shower water was super hot and the bed was very comfortable. We were a group of three, in town for a wedding, and she made us feel very welcome. Very easy to get around Park City from the Condo with the bus stop right in front and Good Karma restaurant (excellent breakfast!) in close walking distance. I'm not a skier but there seemed to be ample room to store gear as well as lounge.

Car: not necessary

New Claim is located in the heart of Prospector Square, directly across from Park City Marriott and Carriage House Condos. It is pedestrian friendly with the Prospector Square Walkway connecting many local shops and numerous eateries. There is 24 hour Hertz rent a car at the Marriott, although you won't need it with 2 bus stops on the free Park City Bus service right outside the front door. We enjoy Fuego Bistro and Pizzeria which is next door. Grub Steak, located 2 doors down on the Prospector Square Walkway is a local favorite not to be missed--Excellent salad bar for those vegetarians! Another vegetarian delight (or omnivore's) is Good Karma Indian cuisine 1 block away, they also sell prepackaged take out to have at the condo when you return. Einstein Bagels and El Chubasco are also our favorites--short 2 block walk. If you need an extra workout, Silver Mountain Sports Club and Spa is on the next block, they offer day passes and indoor swimming as well. For Sundance, Prospector Square Theater is one block away. It would be hard to get a more central and peaceful location than this! On the free bus route it is 8 minutes to Park City Mountain Resort, 17 minutes to Deer Valley, 33 minutes to Canyons Resort. Buses come every 20 minutes, except during Sundance when the frequency and hours expand dramatically. The Historic Union Pacific Rail Trail is right out our front door. We have a nice view from our condo's sliding glass door: get out and join those on the trail! It's about a 1 mile walk to historic Main Street Park City on the trail from our condo...downhill on the way home!
