My husband and I have vacationed in Island Park for years and decided this was where we wanted to retire. I retired in 2012, after teaching for 33 years, and moved to Island Park to start our part time business, the Munching Moose a food truck. My husband then retired, from working in a gold mine, a year later and moved to Island Park. We love the area and people are so welcoming.
Yeuleta Bradley purchased this cabin in 2013
We visited this area 15 years ago to snowmobile with friends. Visited again about 5 years later, and decided to buy a timeshare which didn't work out. It was good as we decided we wanted to be able to come up more than just the one week. The area offers so much year around, so we bought our first cabin in Mack Inn. We were already thinking this was where we wanted to retire. In 2012 I retired from teaching and moved up full time to start the Munching Moose's Mobile Kitchen. My husband then retired in 2014 and moved up full time. We love the area and think it's the perfect place to be.
This is a great location for the convenience to services. The cabin feel was very comforting.
Was a good stay. Only thing have to say bad about the the cabin was that there was no trailer parking. The drive way was a little narrow other than that it was a very nice stay.
This was a great home base for our Yellowstone vacation. Located in a nice residential area just a few blocks from the main road to West Yellowstone this property has a lot of room, with a warm friendly atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to have their own comfortable and private living space to come back to after a day of exploring.
Our family had a great time staying here and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. Yellowstone is close and access is easy.
We were a family of 4 and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this clean and comfortable cabin. It is located at a 30 minutes drive from the West entrance of Yellowstone. West Entrance is a highly desirable location due to the proximity to the WYS airport and this home is conveniently located close by. It being located on a golf course adds to the charm of the already serene place. It is very tastefully decorated & well-equipped to accommodate 6 people. It has 2 bedrooms, a play room with 2 futons & a pool table along with plenty of books & board-games for kids, a fully equipped kitchen, and a cozy fire-place. It's in a community that has resort-styled living. We also found a coin-operated laundry very close by which came in very handy.
Yeuleta is a gracious hostess & she made sure our stay was very comfortable. She's very prompt at responding & is very helpful & courteous.
I highly recommend this home to fellow-travelers visiting Yellowstone.
We had a bit of an issue with checkin but that was quickly managed by the owner and Home Away. After that everything was excellent!
The property was well maintained and equipped for our stay. Close to west Yellowstone and Henry's fork. We enjoyed the open floor plan and kitchen/living room area being so open. We were traveling with small children and the home was a good fit for us. The kitchen was well stocked and the bedrooms and bathroom were also nice.
Id recommend this cabin for small families or couples looking for a close proximity to Yellowstone or other attractions near Island Park.
The cabin was perfect for our home base while we spent days in Yellowstone and Grand Teton.
The kitchen was well supplied with dishes and cooking utensils and had new appliances.
There was plenty to unwind with from TV (satellite and blu ray player) to the pool table, to games and books.
The cabin was clean and comfortable. Most importantly if there is something you need, the owners are very responsive and helpful.
Many points of interest, Harriman State Park, Mesa Falls, Big Springs' Johnny Sack's cabin also a short trail, Sawtelle Mountain view, Yellowstone National Park, Teton National Park, over 500 miles of atv and snowmobile trails (groomed), wildlife, beautiful scenery. Amenities close and easily accessible.
