Sarasota downtown cottage

  • 3 of 5

Location, location! This one has it. We walked to the key restaurant area, to the botanical gardens, and around the nice old neighborhood, including a lovely little park around the corner. We even walked to Whole Foods and carried groceries back, though less energetic folks might find that a little challenging.

I would recommend this place for a couple, or a couple plus one person. I would not necessarily say that 4 people would be comfortable. If one had to open the trundle bed in the 2nd bedroom, it would take up most of the room, curtailing access to the closet, and requiring a furniture move.

Also, only the window A/C unit in the living room is really usable. The bedroom unit is literally next to one's head on the pillow. In our case, the weather was perfect, and we just opened windows.

Also, be advised that the one bathroom is within the bedroom.

No coffee was provided. Though we enjoyed going to the various local shops.

Parking was great.

A charming apartment in an excellent location in downtown Sarasota

  • 4 of 5

This little apartment in a multi-unit home in downtown Sarasota is in an excellent location - walking distance to many restaurants and retail locations. It is a short drive or longer walk to the waterfront. The apartment is very clean and well-equipped. My only criticism is that the "second" bedroom is a very small space with a trundle bed and is divided from the living space by only a curtain. This would not be a problem for a small family with younger children. The beds are quite comfortable. It has a lovely patio with table and chairs and chaise lounges out back. It is very reasonably priced. Though I required nothing from the caretaker, he did check in during my stay, so I am confident he would be responsive if anything was needed. I would definitely rent it again or recommend it to others.

Perfect For Girls Weekend Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

My girlfriend found this place on VRBO and it was everything we could have hoped for. Our main goal was to be within walking distance to all the restaurants and shopping and this place was perfect. The marina is very close and we went running there every morning and found a couple of really nice cafe's we could stop at for coffee on the way home. Some really nice antique shops and spas nearby. Beach's were really close as well. Owners are very polite and stopped by to make sure we had everything we needed. We rented bikes at a nearby bike shop, that we could walk to, and that let us explore even further. You could not find a better location or place to stay at.

Great Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

This cottage was perfect for my wife and our 16 year old daughter. The unit was very clean and comfortable with off street parking. The location was what made it so nice. Our daughter is a movie nut and there was a small independent movie house a few blocks away in one direction and a big 20 theatre movie house a few blocks the other way. Perfect for her and the area is so safe and quiet we felt very comfortable having her walk to the movies by herself, while my wife and I went shopping, had lunch, etc. Beaches are super close and the cottage has beach equipment, along with coolers, we could take. Main street Sarasota and the marina are really close as well with all it's restaurants and shopping so we enjoyed spending time over there as well. Sarasota is avery special place. The owners have really made an effort to make the place very comfortable and clean. Highly recommend this cottage.

Perfect for our Family Reunion

  • 5 of 5

The owners of this delightful apartment own a number of cottages within a block of each other and we rented 3 of them for our mini-family reunion. All of them were perfect! The owners have done a really nice job decorating them. They have added a lot of personal touches to the cottages which make them very special. The kitchens are nicely outfitted and the owners are very close and helpful. We needed an extra large cooking pot for a spaghetti dinner one night and after a quick phone call one materialized at the front door within 15 minutes. Nice private patios and a really quiet area, while at the same time being right downtown! We were all close enough to each other to get together for dinners and shopping while at the same time having our privacy. Really clean as well. Good job!

Amazing Location!

  • 5 of 5

My boyfriend and I stayed in this delightful cottage in October. Super clean, comfy and within easy walking distance to everything. I don't think we used our car once, everything was so close. We walked to the movies twice and almost every night downtown to a different restaurant. The owners are right around the corner and gave us some great tips on things to do. We have already booked it for February.
