Quaint character retreat, relatively close to all tourists spots, great hosts, great time!

  • 4 of 5

Upon arriving at the Victorian Veranda you immediately fell in love with it's charm and uniqueness.

The house certainly accommodated us well - two families with teenage children. Everyone had their special space and all had a seat at the breakfast/dinner table ... we were 10 in total.

The location was ideal, relatively close to everything - Nova Scotia, PEI and New Brunswick's best towns and beaches...we did drive in from Toronto, so I guess distance certainly didn't matter too much by comparison! Still the location was perfect for us. Although some creepy crawlers occasionally came close to kissing us as we arrived each night from our adventures, none made there way inside the home.

A few upgrades would make this a true five star rating - beds need updating in some rooms, our air conditioning unit was a little noisy and a dishwasher would have been a blessing, but overall everything was as described in the ad. Thank you to the lovely host who came to greet us in person and present the home to us - in my many rentals with VRBO that was certainly a first. She offered valuable information and greeted us with that warm Eastern-Canada hospitability that they're known for...truly wonderful hosts!

Beautiful home in the perfect location to explore Canada's Maritime provinces!

  • 5 of 5

Everyone in our group, including the dog and the toddler, loved staying at this beautiful Victorian home. It was so great that everyone had their own bathroom and that their was a big, well equipped kitchen to make meals in. We had a fantastic time exploring the area and doing day trips to Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island as well. Can't wait to go back!

Motorcycle Trip 2015

  • 5 of 5

We were a group of 3 couples + 1, six motorcycles...the location of this property was perfect for day trips, to explore all over New Brunswick. The weather prevented some biking, but we managed to still get a lot in. The facilities were perfect for our group, we each had our own bedrooms/bathrooms, and all kinds of common space to hang out (or get away, depending on how you look at it :)). The river provided a beautiful backdrop, and the veranda was our main hang out area. We cooked some wonderful meals, in the well equipped kitchen, and also grabbed some meals out at the local pub/diner, and at Captain Dan's in Shediac. The rooms were nicely appointed, with quality linens and lovely antiques. The house has a unique charm, and we couldn't have dreamed it up, any better. Over all, an EXCELLENT value, great location, and totally hospitable hosts (Sherry and Linda)...would highly recommend this property to anyone seeking lots of room, privacy, and relaxation.

Beautiful property with lovely owners

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 11 recently stayed at the Victorian Veranda and it was such a great experience for all of us. The properly is comfortable and well-maintained. We had plenty of space to spread out and the children had lots of room to play (hide and seek was a favourite). The owners are absolutely lovely and they made our experience so wonderful. They were very responsive to any questions we had and did everything they could to make sure our visit was a good one. Thanks again, Linda & Sherry. We would love to come back and will absolutely recommend to our friends.
