About Vacasa, CA - Lake Tahoe Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

clean & comfortable

 • 5 of 5

Great location near skiing, very clean & comfortable cabin. Only complaint was the front stairs were covered in thick layers of ice when we arrived (the side of the roof drips right on the stairs) so was a little dangerous getting up & down stairs carrying luggage and especially for kids. Other than that one issue, everything perfect.

Beautiful home!

 • 4 of 5

Overall experience was good. Home is nicely updated. Perfect for 2 families of 4. The only reason that it did not get a 5 star from us is due to the Vacasa property manager not being responsive to emails or phone calls. Tried calling a few time and voice mailbox was full. Thankfully issues were not big enough to make our stay uncomfortable.

Horrible experience

 • 1 of 5

Got there and power was out! It had been out for 3 days and no one bothered to call us. We had to scramble to find a hotel that evening. It was very stressful especially since we had two young children with us. We went home the next day. To add to it, the code to the lockbox did not work and there was trash left at the front door. Vacasa was less than helpful. The person that sent me an email making sure we would have a five star stay wasn't working that day and when I tried to leave a message the voicemail box was full. One of the other staff from vacasa hung up on me. Beware of vacasa they don't care.

Beautiful and comfortable home makes more exceptional week of vacation

 • 5 of 5

A great place to stay in the winter for a family looking to enjoy the snowy outdoors. Alongside being well furnished and supplied with all of the home and kitchen supplies you need, this house provided a cozy and comfortable environment for a family to enjoy time together. The fireplace in the living room was great for colder nights, and the entertainment room downstairs was awesome for the kids to play games and watch movies. All of the appliances were new and worked great, the bathrooms were great and supplied with products, and the bedrooms were well furnished and cozy during the night.

The location was perfect as well, right in between a number of ski resorts to spend the day skiing or snowboarding. We happened to spend a lot of our time at the Squaw Valley Ski Resort, which was a wonderful resort with great views from atop the mountains and with options for all levels of skiers and snowboarders.

We were lucky to have some snowfall in the area during our stay, which made great play for the kids outside behind the house, and one of the neighbors was kind enough to clean off our driveway of snow one morning!

Overall, it was one of the best vacation homes and experiences we've had, and it'd be hard to top it!
