Small but efficient
the room and the bed were to small, air conditioned did'nt work properly and the front door was directly in front of the garbages, bad smell.
Check in was easy and simple. An old neighbourhood and on the noisy side but good restaurants very close by.
Great location and owner responded quickly to fix a problem.
The appartement is located in a good neighborhood, close to all the facility to explore this beautiful city. The owner Mertixell & Octavi where quick to replace the water heater that stop working during or stay, that in itself show how much they care for theirs tennants. We would definitely recommend this place with confidence to ours friends if they visit Barcelona.
The mold in this apartment is beyond belief! Don't rent this apartment until they remediate the mold
Seriously I can't believe how bad the mold problem is! But the neighborhood is great! Awesome eats and drinks in the neighborhood right down the street.
Clean and cozy and well stocked, but not the greatest experience
What is really starting to irk me about home rentals is the ease of check-in. I was requested to call, I presume the property manager, an hour before I arrived. Between customs lines and hailing a taxi, I took a bit over an hour, but we felt rushed bc he had to meet at another property. In addition, we were asked to pay a €14.88 tourist tax and of course it needed to be cash. I’m not even sure if that’s a thing and we told him we didn’t have having flown for 12 hours and just setting foot in Spain. I’ve also been scouring emails and the app to find where it was stated, bc he insisted that we should have known. So he accompanies us to the atm bc no other arrangement was acceptable and we pay him and that was that. The rest of the stay was fine, noise level was bearable, but I think the garbage trucks are pretty loud.
Another quirky thing is the shower configuration. The showerhead is on the “side” rather than the “front” making it rather awkward to shower.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience. The tourist tax applies to all apartments in Barcelona. It was mentioned in the confirmation e-mail that you received when you booked the apartment, and also in our e-mail from Aug 23rd when I contacted you for the arrival details. Anyway, we'll state it more clearly in the ad. Thank you.
Very nice apartment in good location.
Everything was very smooth with booking this apartment. It is very comfortable and quite spacious for a one bedroom. The great thing is it's proximity to Carrer Del Blai - well known for it's many tapas bars, which are all great value. It is also near Avenida Parallel so you can walk to everything Barcelona has to offer. 10 minutes walk and you are at the Ramblas, Gotic Quarter and ElBorn. Big plus is it is adjacent to Montjuic and this is definately worth a visit when in Barcelona. We loved our stay and would book again. Wifi was good and we had no problems at all with it. The apartment is well equipped and on the corner is a great little bakery offering coffee and croissant for 1.50 Euros!
A ten minute walk from the Ramblas and Fira de Barcelona, it is very close to public transportation (two metro lines and many buses), which makes it ideal either for vacation or business rentals.
Poble Sec is a laid back district, with lots of character and plenty of bars and restaurants, some of them world famous such as 'Quimet i Quimet', just a two minute walk from the apartment. The Poble Sec neighborhood remains largely unknown to tourists and thus truly genuine. Traffic speed is limited to 30km/h in all the area.
