Bab’s Number Eight Is Quintessential Downtown Missoula. It Is Upscale, Comfortab

The bab's building has recently been restored and this property is its crown jewel. It is conveniently located on the first floor. The bay living room windows offer a wide-angle view of the neighborhood and mount jumbo. The building is soundly constructed, so you are tucked within your tasteful interior, yet steps away from the thriving hip strip neighborhood.

All furnishings are new, top of the line, and very comfortable. The living room offers plenty of seating with two couches and overstuffed chairs. A desk is in place for those few hours of work you may need to do, and a dining nook is set for entertaining.

Bab's number eight has one queen bedroom, with a full bath. It also houses a queen sized “hideaway couch” in the living room. It could sleep four comfortably. The kitchen is compact, gourmet, and complete. The range and oven are gas. The dishwasher is hidden within a cabinet, as well as the refrigerator. A compact washer and dryer are also tucked within the hall closet area. You have all the fixings of home, within a few feet of this well thought out living space. Off the kitchen area, on the east side of the building, is a communal patio area complete with gas bbq. Downstairs is a community party room with a pool table, bistro seating and a wet bar.

Come make the bab's # 8 your home and walk to any event in town you wish to attend. The university of montana's grizzly stadium is 10 minutes by foot, up the river trail system. The farmer's market is across the river 5 minutes away, as well as our local theaters, restaurants, and lively downtown. In the immediate neighborhood (within a block), there are two bakeries, four excellent restaurants, and a local brewery you won't want to miss. Welcome to bab's number eight, where you will enjoy comfortable living in an elegant, urban location.

We purchased this property because of the loving restoration that had already been undertaken to preserve the historic features of the building. The furnishings accent the historic character of the structure while providing for every comfort and convenience essential to a home away from home.

We were lucky enough to stay in #8 at the Babs for a month! It was perfect. The apartment is in an interesting historic building with lots of carefully preserved character, but it's also modern with top of the line appliances and furnishings. It's comfortable, quiet, and well stocked with anything you would need to cook - though we didn't spend much time in the kitchen because there was too much to offer just out the front door.

Farmers' markets, brew pubs, galleries, street festivals, the river, the university, mountain trails, churches, live music, super restaurants, bakeries, the library, a charming downtown with good shopping, an excellent art museum, a movie theatre, and an award winning ice cream shop - all within walking distance! The best! Our mornings always started with an interesting exploratory walk followed by coffee on the Babs fabulously spacious front porch with the newspaper The Missoulian which we had delivered. I miss it.

The owners of #8 are friendly and helpful. The location and apartment are excellent. We highly recommend it.

Quiet, lovely, and most convenient.

I'm no stranger to Missoula, I have a number of couches I frequently crash, but when the opportunity presents its self to play the business expense card I love turning to VRBO to treat myself to more of a home away from home experience. This Bab's condo was perfect. I enjoyed the easy walk to the Skaggs Building on campus for my conference. There is Delicious food just around and the options continue for days in almost any direction you venture.

Great place...GREAT LOCATION!!!

Right off the hip strip...and better yet one block from the Higgins Avenue Bridge. Walked in to town daily for coffee, lunch, dinner, etc. The best bakery in town is across the street, the second best is around the corner and Big Dipper Ice Cream is a short block away.

The apartment itself was very comfortable and well appointed. About the only negative was the noisy heating system, but that was only for a few minutes when it kicked in every morning.

We will definitely return!

And as the weather has turned warmer towards the spring, the steam heat system of the building, is all calmed down. Would love to see you came back, take good care!
