We enjoyed our family gathering at 3 Bears Cabin! The scenery and location were beautiful! It was just a short distance to the entrance to the National Park. Our children and grandchildren loved the “kid friendly” cubby with toys and games. We appreciated the nicely stocked kitchen.
This cabin provided my family of 6 with the perfect spring break get away. For the first time in years all of our children were easily entertained and they played all throughout our stay both together and separately without even one small argument thanks to the provided entertainment. The cabin was large enough to give us each the space we needed, and luxurious; allowing my husband and I the much needed relaxation time we needed. Every member of our family appreciated the perfectly heated hot tub and cozying up by the fireplace in the evening provided us with cuddle time and close moments that will not be forgotten anytime soon. After years of the overwhelming packing and planning involved in family vacations it was wonderful to pack minimally and arrive at our vacation destination with everything provided. For the first time in a long time my husband and I came home from our vacation feeling relaxed and invigorated. Priceless!
Lovely charm, little extras and great location!
I stayed here recently with nine other friends on a ladies winter retreat. When we arrived our worries were put to rest. Three Bears Lodge provided teas, coffees, waffle mix, spices, oils, wireless internet, enough beds to sleep us all comfortably, (and don't even get me started on the amazing fleece sheets for winter coziness), a warm gas fireplace, large hot tub... and on and on! We enjoyed all the little extras and highly recommend this for anyone wanting to stay near Mt. Rainer. What was also impressive was that the staff was very available pre-trip to answer questions about impending weather, road conditions, hiking, etc. Overall a beautiful setting and extra touches that make this place a great choice.
Would do it again and again
I took my social addicted teen and husband to this cabin along with our other two small children and family dog. There is no cell phone service and it just so happened that there was a internet issue that prevented the junkies from "jacking in".
It was the most wonderful vacation of our life!!! We truly reconnected a s a family! To say that there were hours of snow ball fights and board games does not truly describe the time we spent! The location is wonderful with access to the park and walking distance to shopping. I will do it again and again. Even the Teen has said it is a must do!!!
Beautiful place, nicely decorated, homey, great owners.
I was really disappointed there weren't actually three bears in the lodge.... KIDDING! This was an awesome A-frame that was super cozy and fun to be in.
I super appreciated that the place was already mostly kid-proofed, and could let our toddler roam about the premises.
The owners, Kevin and Melissa Harwood, were most excellent and easy to deal with... it was pretty straightforward.
We would defintiely recommend this as a decent place to stay, with lots of outdoor options!
Hike natural wooded trails, identify meadow wildflowers, enjoy the wildlife, go fishing, mountain biking or just snap some photos. Enjoy mountain climbing, take in the glaciers, waterfalls, or old growth forests. In the fall view the spectacular autumn colors. During the winter take guided snowshoe or cross country skiing tours with the park rangers, rent snowmobiles or bring up your sleds. Nearby attractions include Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad, Northwest Trek Wildlife Park, Recycled Spirits of Iron Sculpture Garden, EZ Times Outfitters Horseback Rides, and boating and fishing at Alder and Mineral Lake.
