Overview

About the property

2/2.5, flooded with light, completely renovated, designer decor, wood burning fp

Come once and you will return year after blissful year. Fully renovated in 2012, this designer cabin is flooded with light and features the perfect mix of rustic and chic along with the perfect local for a .5 mile stroll to Main St., Old Edwards, Shops and Restaurants.

The Space

Trust me, the pictures don't do it justice. The open living and dining areas are joint, spacious, and flooded with light. This cabin also features a wood burning fireplace, dining table for 6-8, rocking chair from porch, fully fenced yard, soaking tub, two stand up showers, all memory foam mattresses with plush bedding and comfortable furniture that will make you want to stay forever! This cozy cabin is perfect for entertaining with an original 6 burner Wolf range from the 1940's.

Guest Access

The 2 bedroom cabin, fenced yard, and private parking in the lower gravel driveway for 2 cars.

The Neighborhood

It's majestic. The yard is private from the street, as it's lined with maples, hemlocks, and old growth rhododendrons. Walk to Harris Lake for ice skating in the winter or catch and release in the summer. Walk to sunset rock or a flat, 1/2 mile walk to town.

Getting around

Accessible by car- 4 wheel drive is not needed to get to the cottage but is always good to have in Highlands, especially in the winter.

About Kristy Jones-Favalli

A huge fan of all things food, wine, and hospitality, I am a restaurateur turned real estate hopeful. This is my fourth property in Highlands. Sharing my home with guests allows me to tap into all of the wonderful things I love about being in restaurants, most notably being able to mold peoples experiences into something that is truly unforgettable. In my down time I love to entertain, travel, and cook with my husband Christian, newborn daughter Valentina, and my two rescue labs, Leo and Olive.

Great cabin and location!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is so reminiscent of Joana Gaines! We loved it! The wood burning fireplace was a great to roast some marshmallows. The cast iron tub and slate showers were super cool too. I couldn't believe the amount of magnolia trees in the yard too. It was so. Ice having a fenced property for our lab too! Oakley loved it! The playground just down the street was great for our son and dog to play in. Main st is just literally around the corner and so convient. The fresh grocery store is a must! The French toast breakfast is to die for! The dry waterfall is a must see. It's only 15 mins from the cabin and super cool. And if you keep going 5 more minutes you'll find Jackson hole trading post where you can do some gem hunting. We hit a bit of bad weather with Irma but Kristi was super quick and responsive and her dad even came by the house to check in on us after the big storm and we lost power. So sweet and friendly! We'll definitely be back! But probably in the spring and not during hurricane season 😉?

Adorable cabin with beautiful decor

  • 5 of 5

This is the second time we have visited High Hemlock. We have already booked our next trip! Just perfect for us. Loved being able to walk downtown. We also enjoyed using the cozy fireplace during the chilly nights. Kristy was so kind- -we were arriving after dark and she had the lights already on for us. Thank you!

A simply delightful cabin!

Loved High Hemlock! Was clean, spacious and comfortable. The owner, Kristy, was great to work with. It was so nice to be able to walk to town to eat and shop. Will definitely rent this again in the future. Highly recommend.

Beautiful cabin intown

The decor is beautiful and very updated, light, and airy. The location is so convenient- we walked everywhere and didn't have to fight for a parking spot on Main St.

Wonderful stay at High Hemlock

  • 5 of 5

We had a great 3 night stay at High Hemlock. Our son and dogs loved it. The fenced in yard was great for our small dogs. The house was so close to the town--only a 2 minute drive. The area was just beautiful and High Hemlock was so relaxing and so wonderfully decorated. The beds were super comfortable. Thanks again for a great stay --we hope to return soon.

Cozy Mountain Chic!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had a great stay at High Hemlock in early June. The weather was great. Cool in the mornings and warm in the afternoons. We walked into town to the greatest little grocery store. The house was so charming and comfortable. Every convenience was available. The beds were comfortable. The water was hot. The water pressure was great! (very important) The internet worked. The cable worked and the owner even had Netflix which helped with binge watching at night. The front porch was perfect for early morning rocking and watching the dogs play in the front enclosed yard.

High Hemlock is a perfect jump off place for exploring Highlands! Thanks!
