Huge windows and skylights let in light and allow for views into the treetops from this 2 bedroom guest house. Private and quiet it is situated across from the beautiful Konkapot River in New Marlborough. The open floor plan includes kitchen with all new appliances, dining area and living room. One large and one small bedroom and a completely remodeled bathroom complete the space. There are new carpets and refinished hardwood floors throughout. A large deck overlooks a forested hillside that abuts the 148 acre Berkshire National Fish Hatchery and their hiking trails. Located on a country road, this property is quiet and peaceful but only minutes to Lake Buel, Gedney Farm, the Appalachian Trail, and 7 minutes to Ski Butternut and 10 minutes to the center of Great Barrington.
My parents moved to the Berkshires over twenty years ago from NY. I visited during college and fell in love with it shortly thereafter. There is so much to do here! From cultural dance and music (Tangelwood, Jacob's Pillow, MassMoca) to enough outdoor adventure to make any outdoor enthusiast happy: hiking, fishing, boating, SUP, kayaking, skiing, snowshoeing to name a few!
I rented my last house on VRBO and it was a wonderful experience to be able to share the Berkshires with people. I work in Great Barrington as a Realtor with Berkshire Property Agents, have three small amazing children and when I am not enjoying the Berkshires, I am traveling and exploring the world.
This guest house was designed to make your stay easy, comfortable and happy. Just bring your toothbrush and do as little or as much as you like!
Danielle purchased this cottage in 2013

Ideal location! 10 minutes to Great Barrington center, and even less to Ski Butternut, Gedney Farm, The Center for Rehabilitation and Change, The Appalachian Trail, Lake Buel, and rivers and waterfalls galore
This is a beautiful apartment above a huge garage. Very quiet. Perfect for a couple or maybe a couple with one or two kids. Everything is pretty new, and well decked out with everything you might need.
The cottage was perfect for the three of us. It allowed us to eat breakfast and dinner in if we chose to. It was immaculate and very well maintained. The back deck is very private and feels like its in the middle of nowhere. The owner lives next door and was available when needed. It is also very affordable. I would stay here again.
We stayed in this cottage for a weekend and it was lovely. The owner was very helpful with suggesting places to go and things to see, but allowed us our privacy as well. The unit is separate from the main house, and when you're inside it feels very quiet and peaceful. It was a real treat waking up in the morning to the sun shining through the skylights in the living room and being surrounded by trees when we looked out the windows. It was also very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed hiking around the area and had a blast in Great Barrington, which is a very short drive away. All in all, it's a wonderful place to stay!
We stayed at this adorable home for a long weekend. It is a great location and has been recently and very tastefully updated. The master bedroom and the bathroom are spacious and the living area is also very open and airy. The second bedroom is smaller but it has room for two twin beds and my kids didn't mind at all. I think it's nicer than it seems in the pictures. We hope to be back soon!
This was a great getaway! The space is amazing with everything you could need in the kitchen, great little living room and dining area to relax in. And soooo CLEAN! The only complaint from us would be the bed being super soft and uncomfortable for us. I would definitely recommend this place if you are a hiker or looking to lodge near butternut. We will definitely be back!
Wonderful location in new Marlborough. Apartment remodeled, newer and clean. Loved access through garage also. Nice deck. Danielle was great. Perfect for our family. No Verizon cell service and Wifi speed could be better. Otherwise-- had a wonderful two night stay and hope to return!!!! unplug and enjoy!!!!!
