About Talia Walton
Property designed, built and managed by Texas couple that have been visiting and building in Placencia since 2001. On site staff are a very friendly young couple that speak great English and make you feel at home. They are extremely professional, trust worthy and guests can arrange for wife to baby sit, if they want to leave smaller children to go diving or enjoy a great meal out.
Talia Walton purchased this House in 2015
Why Talia Walton chose Plantation
Jammin' Gecko is located in heart of some of the best saltwater fly fishing in the world as well as world class diving and snorkeling on the 2nd largest coral reef system in the world. The now fully paved 26 mile Placencia road makes getting on and off the peninsula by car a much more enjoyable and faster experience, thus making access to the rain forest, Mayan ruins, cave tubing and other attractions in the jungle easily accessible. Being the 6th home we have constructed, Jammin' Gecko will have all the amenities a family or group of friends could want in their vacation rental. High end finish out with use of local hard woods, all natural stone flooring and attention to detail inside and out. Third floor master suite provides the ultimate in privacy and amazing views of both the ocean and the mountains. While the home has high end efficient and quite air-conditioning it was designed to open the windows and doors to take advantage of the cool ocean breeze. Besides the fabulous residence you will be staying in, PLACENCIA OFFERS THE WHOLE BELIZE EXPERIENCE!
What makes this House unique

Excellent location and staff. Beautiful property.
Everything was handled professionally from the first contact about renting the property. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our vacation.
Wish we had a month more to do all we wanted to do. Nothing short of incredible !
Great time Had by all
The house and staff were all as described! The food was great the staff were very nice and accommodating! I would definitely stay there again with friends! Rent a car or an extra golf cart to get to local restaurants, their food was amazing!
We had an awesome week at the two Gecko houses last week. Geri and Talia were very accommodating to our large group. The houses are beautiful and very well appointed. Lots of seating areas in or out of the sun.The staff was very attentive without being obtrusive. Chef Doming was the bomb.
Madly in love with Belize
I really can’t say enough about our week in Belize.
Placencia is the perfect jumping off point to experience everything this beautiful country has to offer, and the Gecko team made it all possible. From private islands to snorkeling to Mayan ruins to river tubing, they helped us craft the perfect itinerary for our party of 5 adults and 5 kids. Being dropped off at our pier at the end of boat trips was great with kids.
On our non-activity days, we thoroughly enjoyed the local flavor of the expertly-prepared meals, and Mabel was helpful and responsive to all of our questions.
Truly an effortless but amazing experience. So grateful!
Hands down - THE BEST!
This was hands down the best vacation home I have ever rented. We vacationed as 5 couples to celebrate some milestone birthdays and anniversaries and we couldn't have made a better choice. Talia & Mabel made it so simple to have the place stocked prior to our arrival. Domingo & Manuel whipped up the most amazing food, and the house was clean & our laundry done every single day. We are definitely spoiled now. Even with the 2 other properties booked, we felt like we had the whole beach to ourselves. We can't wait to come back to the Jammin Gecko!
Private secluded beach, close to three of the best restaurants on the Peninsula, fish or watch sunset over lagoon and mountains from dock on lot across street.
