About Lynne Greene
We bought our property in 2004. Over the past 14 years, we have reestablished the natural wetlands. We completed construction on our 'green' home in July of 2014. We plan to retire to Taos someday. Meanwhile, Dieter, a Master Chef, and Lynne, a Psychologist working with seniors, are in the San Francisco Bay area.

Why Lynne Greene chose Ranchos de Taos
Taos is magical and unique. There is everything and nothing to do there. You can while away your days watching the sky and clouds. Or there is shopping, excellent food, world class art, music, theater...and then there is the outdoors. The history of Taos is like nowhere else in the U.S. The backdrop of Taos Mt and the Pueblo enhance the mystique and power of this beautiful place.
What makes this House unique
Our home is surrounded by pastures on all sides while only ten minutes to Taos downtown plaza. Our home was built with the love of natural local artisans and craftsmenship. It has been furnished to create a warm, relaxing family vacation home. Our stunning location and natural wetlands attract birds and animals - being in the valley and green while part of the desert surroundings is ideal.

VRBO Bear Stay review
Beautiful views, great weather.
Taos is a great area. Lots to do, and all the restaurants we visited were fantastic. Need more than a week, maybe next time!
We had a wonderful week at Taos Haus! The house is lovely and very comfortable. The kitchen is to die for and large enough for everyone to be in there helping with the meals we prepared. The views from the back porch were magical and we spent most mornings with coffee there discussing our plans for the day. I must say we were disappointed that the area has been in a drought and the pond and Little Rio Grand River were very low and we were unable to enjoy either. There was also bridge work going on nearby so getting to and from the house was a little bit of a hassle. I do realize this is not anyone’s fault but just thought I would mention. The only con I can say is that we were not informed that the garage is a guest house that it rented out. We were just a little surprised when we arrived for our week and there were three cars there and we were unaware that there was a gentleman living there right next to the house. Mind you he and his daughter were very quiet and respectful but I feel like we should have been made aware that someone was living there so close in proximity.
A gorgeous house in a great location
We were two families, seven people in total, and we enjoyed staying in this house tremendously. Spacious, very well taken care of, fully equipped with everything. Beautifully furnished, nice artwork, and an incredible kitchen (only the knifes could profit from some sharpening ..:-)). This is a perfect house for large families or groups up to 8 people or so. We loved it and would definitely come back again.
Beautiful & Peaceful
Lovely tasteful home with great views. Pond wasn't swimmer friendly due to drought. Pond still attracts wildlife.
Fantastic property. Friendly and kind owners. Super helpful property manager. My family had a wonderful stay. Thank you.
Many happy returns
Our second visit to the Taos House was just as enjoyable as the first. We stayed a little longer this time to be able to do more in the area. This time we got in a little fly-fishing and rafting as well as hiking to Williams Lake. The Taos House made for a serene base. Yet, as absolutely lovely and comfortable as the interior of the home is, I spent as much time as possible outside on the deck, contemplating the pond and the mountains. I couldn't get enough of that view. Even though it's a trek from Atlanta, Georgia, I hope to return again. Thank you for opening your home to us..
Taos is a unique spot. The Taos Pueblo is the oldest continually inhabited Pueblo in North America. The history and art of Taos is spectacular. Our music, dance, film, art, history and outdoor beauty surround you and provide options for any vacation you seek. Relax, visit the museums, shop or just sit lakeside and read.
