We are a mother and daughter team who have lived in Seattle for 10+ years and we love it here.
We enjoy trying new restaurants, relaxing while drinking a great cup of coffee at one of the many wonderful cafés here, and Rachel loves all the best breweries, hiking spots, and cocktail bars.
There are so many fun things to do and see in Seattle and we can't wait to share our city with you!
Grace & Rachel purchased this condo in 2014
We were lucky to find this unit. As soon as we walked in the door we knew we had to have it. It has marble floors with warm mid-century flair and modern touches. It's a truly unique and wonderful place to live.
I spent five night in this unit while attending a meeting at the convention center. This unit looked great because it was across the street, but I didn't realize just how convenient it would be to the main hall entrance. Even better was that the Capitol Hill neighborhood was just a couple blocks away which gave me the option to "get away" from the busy downtown area. The Starbucks Reserve was two blocks as were at least five really great restaurants, shopping, etc. The unit was clean and well-furnished. The one downside I would note for this location was freeway noise which prevented me from opening the windows during the night. I didn't find it to be a problem but light sleepers might. Did I mention that overall the cost was less than nearby hotels and I was able to do my laundry during the week? Recommended.
We felt right at home in this condo. Very clean and comfortable, well-stocked with spices, cookware, dishes, soap, shampoo, and extra towels and linens. Bed was very comfortable, and plenty of pillows. Great water pressure in the shower! High-end appliances and finishes...beautiful woodwork. Even though it poured down rain, my walk to work at the Convention Center was 2 short blocks and I stayed relatively dry thanks to the umbrellas the condo provided. Elevators were quick, everything worked. Beautiful view from shared rooftop patio. Thanks for everything! Really loved it!
The condo worked very well as it was within walking distance of light rail to and from the airport, downtown, water front. Grace and Rachel were very accommodating considering we had to come in a day early, airline problem. The only improvement would have been was to receive arrival instructions the day before not while in the departure airport, I had to text for instructions.
This was our fourth visit to Seattle and your condo unit definitely has a good location, but there were some issues for us...
Your website says "air conditioner", but doesn't say it's a window air conditioner which only brings in forced air from outside but never really cools the room. The temperature on the unit which says 'room temp' is always the same as the outside temperature and never gets any cooler no matter how cool you try to set it. It's basically a glorified fan...totally useless. And, it's so LOUD that you can't watch TV when it's running. Luckily the temperature at this time of year was about 70 so we were able to sleep at night with the windows open.
Your ad also features "In-unit washer and dryer by Miele (high-end German brand)" neither of which work...we were told to use the washer/dryer on the 2nd floor which takes 4 quarters per load...so that's a bit deceptive. We think every effort should be made to see things are in good working order since you are the owner of the condo.
Parking: the space is so small and difficult to maneuver (as you know when you tried to park our rental car for us)...that we changed our itinerary and never moved the rental car until we left because we were too afraid. We appreciate you not charging us the $25 daily parking fee; however, when someone asks about the parking space, you should mention that it's for a 'small' car only.
It says "outside deck/patio"...Where?
It says "pets not allowed" which is Great for us and our allergies. However, there's a dog next door which constantly barked when we were trying to nap? We probably would not stay here again or recommend this property to anyone.
Just a few of the thoughts we wanted to pass on to you.

The condo was in great shape and Grace and Rachel were nice to work with. It was convenient to have a kitchen and living room area, with parking, and the price was less than many nearby hotels. Ideal for 2 people with 1 BR, with space for 4 with a blow up mattress for the living room. Window a/c unit in living room and fan in bedroom-mostly not needed for our visit. Our family of 4 used it as a home base to see the sites of Seattle in Aug (and walk to many places). It is 4-5 blocks from the Westlake monorail too. It is next to the convention center where there is a storefront Creperie Voila serving all kinds of crepes for a quick, fun outside breakfast/brunch. Small suggestion: Written directions with a map for parking might be easier than via cell phone on the spot, and a mirror in the bedroom could be nice. We enjoyed the ferry to Bainbridge island for lunch at Doc's (or sunset) instead of waterfront tour, chihuly glass!, space needle, pike place market, gum wall, Fremont troll, and Aquarium-very small but Octopus show, diver in tank and otter feeding were especially fun. Conveyor belt sushi at Blue C was fun too.
Newly furnished, private, high-end luxury condo at an excellent location. Right next to the Convention center, blocks away from Seattle's hottest bars & restaurants, and minutes away from Pike Place Market. Perfect for work & play.
