4 Bedroom/3 Bathroom home with private pool close to everything.
This 1947 bungalow has been updated nicely while still maintaining a gracious floor plan and all the comforts of home. This home is situated in a very quiet street and is ideal for a relaxing getaway.
The entire property is enclosed by a privacy fence and is well landscaped. Once inside the gate you will find an inviting pool with water feature and plenty of space to lounge under the shaded porch or out in the full sun of the pool deck. In any event you will be treated to a great view of Mt San Jacinto while lounging at the pool.
Inside the Living, Dining and Kitchen all have a view of the pool, allowing you to pop in to refresh a drink or prepare lunch while keeping an eye on family members while they swim or lounge at the pool. The floor plan includes a TV lounge separate from the living room, but still visible thru windowed doors, so large groups can break up into smaller areas while not disturbing one another. The four bedrooms include a master with a king sized bed and attached private bath. Also on the master wing of the house is the first of three guest bedrooms featuring a queen sized bed with a bathroom just outside the bedroom door. On the opposite side of the house are two more bedrooms with queen sized beds and a third bathroom situated between them and just outside their doors. To increase the privacy and comfort of all guests, none of the bedrooms share a wall with another bedroom.
For entertaining, the kitchen has been remodeled and includes stainless steel appliances. The dining room table is expandable to very comfortably seat 8 for formal indoor dining and there is also a large table in the back garden for those who prefer that their large party dines al fresco. Coffee, breakfast or lunch can be enjoyed by smaller groups in the eat-in kitchen or at the poolside table.
The home features full amenities including pool floats, pool towels, full bed and bath linen, dishes (suitable for both indoor and outdoor use), outdoor propane grill, and pots and pans should you decide to dine at home. Also included is wireless high-speed internet, wifi and cable TV connected to flat screen TVs in the TV lounge and the two bedrooms on the master wing. Pool heating is also available for a charge of $50/day.
The home is located on the very quiet Plaza Amigo Street in the Movie Colony East/Ruth Hardy Park neighborhood. Should you decide to venture outside the property, it is a short 3 block walk to Ruth Hardy Park which offers plenty of green space as well as numerous tennis courts, walking trails, basketball courts, picnic tables and playground. Also within walking distance (less than a mile) is Palm Canyon Drive which features shopping, dining and entertainment.
The home is very comfortable for groups of up to 8, but at this price it is also great alternative for smaller groups where individuals prefer private bedrooms.
Finally, As a frequent VRBO guest in other locations I always appreciate an easy check-in process. In order to make your experience as trouble free as possible you will be met at the house and given a brief orientation of the house including its features and amenities when you check in. No worrying about finding a management office or getting keys after hours - this is your vacation, you should enjoy every moment of it. It will be your introduction to your local contact who can address any questions or concerns during your stay.

I immediately fell in love with all that Palm Springs has to offer and bought this home only a year after my first visit. Ultimately I plan to spend more time in Palm Springs when I retire, but I just had to get my foot in the door and have a place to get an occasional break from the cold and cloudy Chicago winters until that day comes. So, just because I can't enjoy the sun and fun all year 'round doesn't mean the house should sit idle - please come visit and hopefully you will love it as much as I do.

What makes this Bungalow unique
When shopping for a home it seemed that everything I looked at was just a little bit 'off.' The rooms were too small, or additions meant that bedroom windows looked into garages, or bedrooms were miles away from bathrooms. Then when I saw this house, which looks small and intimate from the front, I couldn't have been more pleased with the layout. It is large enough to have separate spaces, the bedrooms are pretty evenly sized and private from each other, the neighborhood is quiet and serene and of course the pool with views of the stunning mountains are the icing on the cake.

Great, spacious house! More than enough space for a group of 8.
I stayed here with 7 friends and the first thing you see when you walk in is the pool. There was a wind storm going on and the site manager, Ron, apologized for the state of the yard and pool and explained that it had just been cleaned. We had no problem scooping what little debris there was out of the pool ourselves, since they had a net available, but a few members of our group noticed that someone had been sent the next morning to do another pool cleaning when they didn’t have to! That’s great customer service.
There were plenty of spaces around the house to lounge around in and they provided SO MANY TOWELS. It was great. The house exceeded our expectations and we would definitely stay here again.
Stayed here with work colleagues for conference at the convention center. Short walk to the venue every day and plenty of privacy for three of us given the three bathrooms. Saved significantly compared to hotel rates for much higher quality than the “affordable” hotels. Would also bring my family here, very clean, well kept property in a great quiet neighborhood.

Best outfitting of 'hotel' features we have experienced: bedding, linens, paper consumables (lots - very appreciated), kitchen items, BBQ grill, WiFi, books and games, we have ever experienced. Well done!
Local property Guest Services Manager, Ron S., was most helpful, explaining how everything worked, as well as local recommendations on restaurants and Thursday Night PS Street Fair (aka Village Fest). A superior resource for a superior property!
Perfect choice for our family of 7.
The house was exactly as it looks in the pics. Our 4 adults and 3 teens had plenty of space. The house was a 5 minute drive to downtown. The pool was great! 88 degrees. Owner furnished plenty of pool towels and other linens. Kitchen had everything we needed and more. We also enjoyed a few fresh lemons right off the tree. One recommendation is that you ask the manager to show you how to use the heating/air conditioning system. We really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely, immaculate, well equipped. cozy. Perfect layout for a family reunion...one side of the house for adult children and their babies. Other side for adults. The pool actually sits in the front of the house, but that offers a magnificent view of the mountains. Quiet and great location, near town. Owner and on site management could not have been more attentive and helpful. I'd recommend this to anyone. It's not the typical blingy mid-century Palm Springs vibe, older and more comfy.
Great Accommodations for a Girls Getaway Trip!
Overall opinion of the 4 Amigos House - The online photos and the description of the house are accurate representations of the property (which is not always the case when renting a vacation home)! We were a group of seven women on a Girls Getaway/Reunion who thoroughly enjoyed having the spacious accommodations to reconnect in an environment which was relaxing and welcoming. And, the cost for the house rental was less than the estimated cost for booking 3-4 (much smaller) hotel rooms.
The Owner - David A. responded to my request for a rental quote, questions about the house and recommendations for activities and restaurants very quickly and was also quite personable and obliging. Booking this house was the easiest, most trouble free experience of all the houses that I have rented through VRBO in Hawaii, the Carolinas and Florida.
Accommodations - The house was very clean and well maintained. The bedrooms had good beds, clean linens and a nice amount of closet space. The bathrooms were a good size for sharing and included body wash, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper and a good supply of towels. Minor issue - the windows could benefit from "frosting" or coverings. The kitchen had nice size, fully functioning appliances and was well stocked. Our group ate breakfast every day during our stay which allowed for leisurely wake up times before heading out for a myriad of activities just a short drive away from the house.
Guest Services Manager - Ron met us on the day of our arrival for a "meet and greet" tour of the house. It was a nice touch to know that someone local was nearby to answer any questions, if a problem arose.
The spacious, pleasant and well maintained accommodations of the wonderful 4 Amigos House in Palm Springs was one of the best aspects our fun filled and memorable annual Girls Getaway!
This central location is ideally located close to downtown Palm Springs will all it has to offer including dining, drinking, dancing, shopping, coffee shops, live theatre, movies and more while remaining blissfully quiet and close to a large park that offers walking trails, kids play areas, tennis and basketball.
