About Margaret Doman

My wife, Margaret and I were born and raised in Michigan where we are raising our three children. We've always loved getting away Up North vacationing with our family and we'd love to share our slice of heaven with you!

Margaret Doman purchased this house in 2014

Why Margaret Doman chose Sleeping Bear Dunes

When Margaret and I discovered Glen Arbor and the Leelanau Peninsula about 7 years ago, we fell in love with the area. There is so much to do for the whole family and its beauty is breathtaking. Our home is literally one block from the town area of Glen Arbor which is a really cool place with all the amenities. There's nothing like going to Boone Docks with the family in the summer, sitting on their large outdoor deck, grabbing a burger and beer while listening to the live music entertainment.

What makes this house unique

This is a newly built home (2008) with wood floors and ceilings throughout and a stone fireplace. Everything is new and in great shape. And in the evening you can hear the waves crashing on Lake Michigan while enjoying a bonfire with family and friends.

***we just completed a total basement remodel during the Spring of 2016***

We added a 4th bedroom with a queen bed, a large rec room with pool table, card table, and bar. There is also a family room area with a 60 inch flat screen TV.

Perfect Getaway

We spent a great weekend Up North in your lovely home with our adult children. Enjoyed the well equipped kitchen, the fireplace and fire pit. Everyone had their own room which was great. If it had been a little warmer and I would have been planted on the porch.

Fantastic home

  • 5 of 5

We had 6 ladies for our stay. It was an annual wine tour weekend. The home was perfect. Everyone had their own bed. The house was clean and well maintained. We spent a lot of time gathering in the kitchen, dining room, basement, and by the fire pit ring.

Lovely home with great features

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a girls hiking weekend. The hiking was great and coming home to such a lovely place made it so much better. We had dinner in town then relaxed by the fireplace every night. We had so much room and hope to be back with our families since they will really enjoy the full basement. We hope to use the fire pit next time since we were rained out this visit. Location was great to Sleeping Bear Dunes.

Owner's Response: Hi Rhonda, We are so happy you and your friends enjoyed your stay at our cottage and enjoyed the town of Glen Arbor! There are a ton of hiking and biking trails in the area, so please come again and try some new and different trails and bring your families! There is also canoeing/kayaking at the end of the street, boating and tubing on the Glen Lakes, excellent restaurants for the foodie, and excellent wine and beer tours to enjoy... And nothing ends the day better than a bonfire outside or a cozy fire inside😉

Beautiful home in a great location. Very well appointed kitchen.

We enjoyed our two day stay at your lovely home. Unfortunately, our son and his wife were unable to come, so it was just my husband and me. It is a very large home for just two! We love the Sleeping Bear Dune area and especially Glen Arbor. We are hoping to return next October with our son and his family.

Great time in great house

  • 5 of 5

Very nice house, big basement for getting together and playing pool. Unique set up with 1 bathroom upstairs for 2 rooms but you only share the shower. Great campfire spot and they furnished the wood. We were group of 3 senior couples but would work great for a family. Easy to work with and very fast responses. Highly reccomended

Owner's Response: Hi Sue, We are so happy you and your friends enjoyed your fall stay at our cottage 'No Worries!'🍁 The house is set up to entertain 10-11 people. The bathroom set -up is called a Jack and Jill bathroom, so each bedroom upstairs has there own bathroom/toilet area( 2 toilet/sinks), but shares a shower/tub with separate entrances with pocket doors for privacy. The large basement with 4th bedroom, pool table, bar area and large screen TV is a great new addition to hang out with friends and family as well. Glen arbor is truly a year around destination and hopefully you will come again. Best, Margaret
