The kitchen is incredibly well equipped with induction cooktop, double oven, espresso maker & a stocked fridge and pantry. Ideal for groups with a wide sportiness spectrum, be it mountain, trail, river fun or simply recharging and kicking back.
Master Bedroom has a full ensuite with romantic free standing tub and steam shower leading to an attached solarium.
The kitchen has all mod cons, granite tops, and large island for entertaining. The refrigerator and pantry are stocked and the policy is simply replace what is used with items of equal value and dispose of perishable items.
The unique custom dining table seats up to 10 comfortably.
The living area has large sectional couches and includes 60' TV, cable, Netflix, FiberOptic WiFi, Sonos sound system.
The Hot Tub is a wood fired soaker tub made by Alumitub(info online). It is similar to having a wood stove requiring tending and slight planning ahead but the smell of cedar, a crackling fire, and peaceful wooded surroundings make it a far superior experience if you're willing to compromise a little convenience. Guests are entirely responsible for its operation including water quality and temperature, and availability must be discussed in advance.
There is a large common utility room with plentiful secure storage for gear(bikes, skis/boards), modern washer/dryer, shared with the long term tenants of the lower suite.
The home also has many green building features such as Solar Domestic Water Heating, Drain Water Heat Recovery, Triple Glazed Windows, Passive Solar Attached Greenhouse, SunTube Skylights, Airtight Construction Details, and may serve to inspire those considering building an eco-conscious home.
Guests have access to the entire property except the lower suite which is retained for the owner.
The lower suite (featuring an additional 2 bedrooms, full bath, kitchen, & lounge, will be available soon to guests for an additional fee to accommodate larger groups. Please inquire to discuss further if access is desired.
For our winter guests we now have an insanely convenient VIP parking pass and locker at the Ski Hill Griz Inn located steps away from the Elk Chair. Why stay at the hill with this kind of convenience!
Preference is given to longer stays. Accordingly, there is a 5 night minimum stay for bookings greater than 6 weeks in advance, and a 3 night minimum stay for bookings greater than 2 weeks in advance. Minimum night stays are waived if dates are adjacent to existing bookings.
We do not discount extended stays during peak season (December, January, February, March, July, & August), or offer long term rental(28 days or more). All rates are as listed and non-negotiable except for those made last minute. Any inquiry requesting otherwise will be promptly declined.
