The main attraction is the view outside but we hope you'll enjoy the inside as well. When the sun rises you will often be treated to a giant lake of fog just below fed by Lake Nottely. At an elevation of 2,211 feet above sea level we have a panoramic view of the tallest mountains in Georgia.
We recently did a major basement project and made sure to include some 100 year old reclaimed wood for an accent wall and two barn doors. The bathroom on that floor features a fully tiled shower and custom made vanity. Bunk beds were also custom made for the space and there is a gas log fireplace.
The top floor features a master suite with king sized bed and large bathroom with separate tub and shower. There is a small loft space with just enough room to enjoy a good book while looking down on the spectacular view.
The main floor includes a guest room with queen sized bed, full bathroom, laundry closet, kitchen, dining room and living area with gas fireplace. The furniture in this space has just been updated with a new reclining sofa and loveseat and a new rug. The sliding glass doors open to a wraparound deck with wood fireplace, outdoor dining area and gas grill. The lower level also has a wraparound deck as well as a bedroom with queen sized bed, tiled bathroom and shower, bunk bed area and a large recreational room with gas fireplace and fold out sofa.
Outside there is space for 3 vehicles to park comfortably.
The cabin is situated on a mountain ridge along with 6 other cabins. There are a few more located on the road up the mountain. The neighborhood is quiet but there are a couple of full time residents that are able to help in case of an emergency. Access is easy for any typical vehicle except in extreme winter weather. You will be far enough away from town to not hear any traffic but within reasonable driving distance of three towns with grocery stores, restaurants and other necessities. Blue Ridge and Blairsville Georgia are each 20 minutes away as well as Murphy, NC.
