About Monica Brewer
As a boating/lake loving family, we wanted to provide our children the opportunity to build memories in a home where we could feel comfy while inside, enjoy a view you simply can't get from anywhere in OH, rely on the conveniences of launching our boat within a 5 min. drive and establish a place our kids will want to visit good ole Mom and Dad, once they're all grown up and moved away. We hope you can make as many memories in the confines of these walls as we intend to enjoy.
Monica Brewer purchased this House in 2014
Why Monica Brewer chose Burnside
Lake Cumberland is one of our favorite places to visit as, especially from this home, you can enjoy a scenic view without looking in someone's back window while in the home yet from the water, regardless of where you may venture, the surroundings have been maintained in their natural element. A rare find on many lakes we have traveled.
What makes this House unique
The warmth this home provides, especially on the main floor, with the pine wood floors and back wall as well as huge A frame windows allowing for all day light and gorgeous views caused us to fall in love with this location and home.
Pool / Spa
Monica was immediately responsive to any questions. House was well equipped, and we loved the hot tub!
The home was simply amazing! So well laid out, perfect for multiple families/individuals, super clean
Awesome! Every bed was so comfy! The owners furnished this home as if they lived there full time. The kitchen accessories were well stocked, just and awesome home, with awesome views
Had a wonderful time in this beautiful home.
Very enjoyable weekend!
It was a beautiful setting. The cabin was warm and inviting. Plenty off private space with the 3 levels. But great entertainment area in kitchen and family room. We played lots of games and pool downstairs!
Great place for a getaway!
My family stayed here over Thanksgiving and had a great time. There were 6 adults and 6 kids and we all had plenty of space. The scenery from the decks was beautiful and the house was clean, pretty, and had most of what we needed for cooking and relaxing. I would definitely stay here again :)
An Amazing Home
We LOVED staying at this property. It is beautifully appointed, CLEAN and the views are wonderful. The photos don't do the place justice. It is so spacious and did I mention the views?!? Monica is completely responsive to any questions or needs. I was going to give it 5 stars, and the only reason to give it 4 may seem minor. When we stay at mountain top or places on winding roads, we like to be "home" before it gets dark so we do cook dinners in. On the 2nd week of our vacation, we stayed at another VRBO in North Carolina. At that home we really appreciated that the owners had available: salt & pepper, a variety of basic spices, condiments like mustards, catsup, honey, salad dressings, olive oil, vinegar, as well as aluminum foil, plastic wrap, coffee filters and some laundry detergent. There was a note telling renters to feel free to help themselves & to leave supplies behind for the next guests. When guests are travelling, it is kind of a pain to have to buy basics that they are not likely to take away in a fully packed car, or if they are flying home. Of course some may take advantage and take items with them, but for about $20, an owner can provide a little extra that goes a long way toward establishing an at-home feeling. That said, it was a positive experience. This is a really nice VRBO property!
Located in a secluded, gated community which boasts of a country store, selling basic necessities and pizza as well as gas, a private boat ramp/launch, boat storage, 3 swimming pools and tennis courts. About a 20 minute drive to all kinds of shopping and restaurants.
