About Kent and Elaine Adams

We love Wisconsin and the area we live in. We purchased our property and have been building and adding details ever since. We moved to the area from Minneapolis in 2000. We raised our two children and have a love for the outdoors. Our life revolves around biking and skiing and enjoying the outdoors. We built our 5100 square foot timber frame home from the ground up. As a builder, it involved attention to detail along with hundreds of hours of labor. Since our children have grown up and moved away, our goal is to share our property with others as a destination get away. We hope to provide a Northwoods experience like no other property in the area.

Kent and Elaine Adams purchased this house in 1989

Beautiful family-friendly property with lots of amenities!

  • 5 of 5

Highly recommend this incredible property on a quiet lake! I can see why it has been featured in magazines! The well thought-out design allows multiple families to come together during the day and retreat to their own zones in the evening. The fire pit is conveniently located outside of the screened-in porch, perfect for those who don’t want to brave the mosquitos but want to be near the group. The kitchen makes for the perfect gathering place! The quiet lake is great for fishing, canoeing, and kayaking. The paddleboat was also a hit with both adults and kids! We brought a slip ‘n slide and small pool for the kiddos to play in closer to the house when we didn’t want to be down by the lake. Grass is limited, but sufficient for bocce ball, croquet, outdoor movie screen, and our water activities. All in all, a great property for our extended family to make memories! We hope to return!

Summer in the Northwoods

  • 5 of 5

We just finished a week long stay at the Deep Lake Lodge and had a great time. The setting was perfect and accommodations were spectacular. Our group included 15 family members and the lodge had more than enough space to fit us all in. The days were spent walking our dogs, enjoying Deep Lake, tubing on the Namekagon River, or sightseeing in Duluth. The evenings were cozy by the campfire followed by board games and euchre tournaments.

A perfect way to end the summer. Thank you, Kent and Elaine.

Great place for family gathering!

  • 5 of 5

Deep Lake Lodge was a wonderful place for our recent family celebration. The house is absolutely beautiful. The construction was lovingly made with special details like transoms with stained glass, carved beams and curved ceilings. The amenities were great with many extras. The kitchen was fully equipped with all needed items for family cooking. The hosts provided extra beach towels, games and many goodies for children. The waterfront toys were excellent, as was the fishing. While there were many beds, there really are only four private bedrooms. The quiet lake was beautiful and relaxing. It truly was a home away from home. You could see other homes while on the lake, but never had a view nor sense of others at the house, it was so private.

Great Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Great get away for a group. Beautiful peaceful and quiet lake site. Lake proved to be better than expected for fishing, planed on going to Shell lake to fish but Deep lake provided much fun. Plenty of room to break out in smaller groups. Nice rooms clean and well stocked all around. Kitchen was a highlight. Very easy to cook as a group. Mountain biking was fun and a new distillery nearby was another close fun day trip. Only issues were pretty minor like a battery going out in a smoke director in the middle of the night and the light switching can be a bit confusing. Recommended and we could easily be return customers.

Beautiful, family-friendly property with every amenity!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned home from a wonderful long weekend at Deep Lake Lodge. Kent and Elaine have really considered every detail at this incredible property. Not only is the inside of the stunning lodge immaculate, they have accounted for everything you might need during your stay. The property is very comfortable inside and out, especially for a large group. There was something for everyone in our large, diverse party -- from adults all the way to four infants/toddlers!

We all particularly enjoyed fishing and boating on the lake and playing in the beautifully manicured lawn. We also used the fire pit and grill every night and enjoyed a fun morning at Perlick Distillery down the road.

Our only complaint is we wish we could have stayed longer! Already planning our return visit -- thanks, Kent and Elaine!
