Overview

About the property

Charming Cottage in the heart of the Irish Channel! 2 bedrooms and 2 baths with private yard and deck. Tons of old New Orleans charm with modern finishes. Just 3 blocks to the world famous Magazine St shops, a quick walk to the parade routes and just a couple of miles to the French Quarter.

My home has just been renovated, brand new kitchen with granite, marble and stainless steel appliances. Brand new bathrooms, old heart of pine wood floors through out. 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, comfortably sleeps 6. Big back deck, two outdoor eating spaces and fenced yard. My guest will have access to cable, wireless internet and a fully functional kitchen.

I love the convenience of the Irish Channel. There are so many bars, restaurants and shops within minutes by foot. Starbucks, Smoothie King, a wine cellar and public transportation is just three blocks away to mention a few.

About David Stewart

I was born in New Orleans and have lived here almost my entire life. I am a local real estate agent in the area. Real estate is my entire life. I love all aspects of it.

In my free time I love staying fit, collecting art, and spending as much time with family as possible. The great thing about New Orleans is even though I've been here my entire life, there always something new to see or experience. I love checking out the local cuisine, bars and artist that are just around the corner.

Why David Stewart chose New Orleans

My home has just been renovated, and I renovated it for me. All of my personal taste and style went into this home. It's my first renovation and I did it with a lot of love. Certain circumstances have come up to where I can't stay here for now but I have no plans on selling it and will return as soon as possible. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have!

Great Irish Channel stay!

  • 5 of 5

Central location with short walk to Magazine and trolley. Quaint, quiet neighborhood with nice neighbors. Rental was everything we could ask for: clean, tidy, cute back porch area, and laundry was a great perk. David was a fantastic host. Would not hesitate to stay here again and will be recommending to friends and family. Thank you!

Great Neighborhood, Great Home

  • 5 of 5

David keeps a great property, everything was as advertised and we would enjoy staying there again on a future visit to New Orleans. Walking distance to so many great bars, restaurants, and other locales in the Garden District / Irish Channel neighborhoods. Beds and couches/chairs are comfortable, bathrooms have ample hot water, and it's a very safe and friendly neighborhood. Reserve with confidence!

Wonderful Home in New Orleans

  • 5 of 5

Our three night stay at the "Charming Irish Channel Cottage" was just that! The property was exactly as described and more than met our expectations. The home reminded me of an HGTV remodel. with the right combination of new and modern with historical charm. The cottage was clean, well stocked, and very comfortable. We had a few questions upon our arrival and David responded promptly with great information. There are plenty of outstanding options for food and drink on Magazine Street ( four blocks) and the cottage is close to the French Quarter. We used Uber and taxis and had a great time. Thanks to David for being such a great host.

Good place to stay for NOLA visit

  • 4 of 5

Went with another couple and found the house comfortable. It was very clean with modern amenities. We enjoyed having common areas to hang out, as opposed to staying in 2 hotel rooms. Be aware that there are 2 full baths, but they are both on first floor, so loft guests have to go downstairs at night to use bathroom. We didn't find this to be a problem, but assumed each bedroom had its own bath. Word to the wise....use the box fan in each bedroom or the neighborhood rooster will wake you at around 5 am. After first night, during which we learned the hard way, we weren't awakened again. Saw a few neighbors in the 4 days we were there, all of whom were very friendly. House is a tad "out of the way", though very near the Garden Disrict.and very walkable to Magazine St. UBER and LYFT are inexpensive rides to anyplace you want to go. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.
